Birthday Party Fun | Arthritis Information

So today is my middle child's birthday and he is having a birthday party.  He has been quite worried the last week and finally asked yesterday, are you going to be ok for my party?   I told him I don't know for sure but I have gotten lots of help so even if I can't do anything the party will go on just fine.  He seemed to relax at that point.  Since on the prednisone I am doing much much much better.  By 9-10pm my knees and hands especially are saying STOP and I must have head to sleep but I can still stand and that seems like a miracle.  I made my sons cake this morning and my husband and I had gone to the store for the last minute items last night so I think we are pretty ready.  Later today my house will be over run with 20-30 11 year olds.  I just can't wait.   :-)

Yikes!!  Sounds like fun
Hope you're not feeling too bad by the time the party ends!
Hi lotokids. It my youngests daughters birthday sleepover 2nite and she has 4 14 year olds sleeping here. 5 girls all of the same age is going to get really noisy...............HELP!!You are so right there, the noise factor of girls can certainly be higher.  Our 14 year old daughter recently had a few friends over and all the sudden they would shriek or yell or something and my husband just kept rolling his eyes.  I had to remind him they are teenage girls honey.

I am only having them for two hours so I can be done and crash.  So good luck to you!
20 to 30 little boys is hard going. Do you have some sort of activities planned and is the waether nice so if it gets too loud you can let them outside.Aw come on. 20-30? You've already got 9............this is just practice for the grandkids! LMAO

I'm sorry I couldn't resist!! Heheheheh Hang in there and take pics! well, take pics if they'll let you! LOL
The weather is pretty decent and so they are going to play water balloon volleyball, a skittles dice game.  Running around the backyard waiting for everyone to get here.  Cake and ice cream and gifts the time will fly by and if it doesn't we can add something like Red Rover Red Rover...

I am sure I will be toast after but I love making a big deal out of their birthdays and it wasn't something I felt I could let go of.  So lots of help and I think we will be fine.  Now if I hadn't started this prednisone I don't know if I could still say that but I am counting my blessings.
I often think about when my kids have kids and what family get togethers will be like.  HEHEH, crazy. Hey someone tell me how to put a custom pic under my name.  I apparently cannot figure it out.

ugh!

I would go nuts just from the noise :)

I hope you do well and have a great time.  I live for my family birthdays and do my best to force my way through them if i have to.

God bless.
I am lucky in that department, the noise doesn't bother me.  I am pretty good at tuning things out.  :-) Just to let you know Lotokids that "WE SURVIVED THE SLEEPOVER"
The girls were well behaved and only a bit noisy. I dont think they have slept much.
How did your party go???????

Pin cushion, yippy, glad to hear it went well.  We also survived however I feel like I barely survived.  I really didn't expect it to be a big deal.  I had set up help was feeling ready and it is wore me out even though any time I went to do something someone took over saying, "let me do that."  Last night my hands and feet were feeling swollen again like pre prednisone.  Where hurting quite a bit but ended up finally able to sleep without taking pain meds.  Woke up still feeling a bit puffy and hurting.  Glad the party is over and I can relax today. Man if I had that many kids for a party I would be sleeping for days .
How do you do it ?
