OT silly story about my little one | Arthritis Information

My youngest (with JRA) is always good about going to bed, sleeping in her own bed, etc.  We had some bad weather a few nights recently, and she wanted to come in my room, which is fine with me as long as it doesn't become every night.

The problem was, she just wouldn't be still, and was keeping me awake.  I kept having to say, please stop fidgeting, I don't care if sleep here a little while, but you are keeping me awake and you'll have to go back to own bed.  She'd say okay, then start up again.  Once, she did go back to bed on her own.

The other day, out of the blue,  she told me why she fidgets.  She says that when she can't fall asleep, she imagines she is rowing a boat (and did that motion with her arms), then that she catches a fish (and reeled in with her arms), then rows back (more motions), and goes home and "fixes a recipe".  She acts all that out, until she falls asleep.

I have no idea where that comes from - Survivor?  Anyway, I told her that was a good idea, and it sounded a lot more fun than counting sheep.  I told her I was glad she told me, because it made sense why she couldn't be still.

When I tucked her in last night, I said, "Good night!  Are you ready to row your boat and catch a fish?"

She said no, she was pretty tired and she was "just going to use stuff we already had in the kitchen"!!!!

Dont the things kids say/think make you smile

I tell my daughter that if she's a 'squiggle butt' she's going back to her room.

Haha! Looks like you have a future novelist or other envisioner on your hands.Oh my gosh!!  That's adorable.

Way cute!!!

That 's adorable!  I just love little gir.ls around that age. My youngest granddaughter is 2 1/2.  We had her over the other day and I was playing one of my music boxes for her". As I got ready to close it, she got a real serious look on her little face and said, "Watch your fingers!" I thought it was so cute, at that age, to be concerned about my welfare.

I'm sure you cherish every minute with her. The time goes so fast, it seems. Little girls are so delightful to play "tea party" with and you can see their imagination in action!

I have nothing against little boys, but we have had all girls in our families that I wouldn't know what to do with a little boyWhat an amazing little girl you have. Cherish those exchanges.
