...the doc drags the news out?

All the tests were normal (I won't drag it out for you!!

He noted that I did have swelling in both my wrists today; but because all my labs were fine, and given my mom's diagnosis of OA, he decided that I have the same, and noted I was the youngest person he had ever dx'ed with hand and wrist OA (I'm 27).

Since the Celebrex wasn't working, he switched me to Mobic, and informed me that my family doc could follow me for OA (unless something major changed).

Sigh of relief... I almost feel guilty for hanging out on this board now.

Don't kick me off!  I feel like I have friends!!  there are alot of people with OA on this board. Never in our wildest dreams would we kick you off. We are not illness predudice on this forum. And most people chat on the RA board regardless of there dx. However i must worn you some of us can not spell. That would be me!

Hang out!

If you agree with him...more the better.  If not...see another rheumy.

Hugs,

Pip
Thanks, Milly!

This is a great board with great folks... thank you all for your support.

Yay for no RA!  And Yay for staying even though you don't have it!!!!!

Well, I guess that is good news. I guess ya need Actonel! Or more calcium in your diet. What am I even talking about? *slaps self on forehead*

We would not want ya to go anywhere. We like people, like you Congratulations!! We really like hearing the occasional bit of good news that comes across here and wouldn't dream of bumping you off the boards.  Heck, if your swelling just turns out to be too much salt in your diet and not OA, stick around anyway.  We can always use  more friends.  Anyone that has the mistaken notion that OA doesn't hurt, has another think coming.

You have arthritis -- as far as I can tell, you belong to an arthritis board

OOO, good to hear your news.  Do you agree with the doc?  Or do you feel like he is missing something.  Remember RA doesn't always have blood results that are off.  Go with your gut.  I just went to find your other post and saw once I posted something there that you had done a new thread.  Hope the new medication helps. Yep, and hate waiting on the techs to call for the appt. on when to even go  in for the tests! Thanks for all the support.  I didn't figure you all would cast me out...

As for the anemia, I've started taking a multivitamin again (with lots o' iron), and eating spinach.  Turns out Mama was right...

I feel pretty comfortable with the diagnosis... especially given that EVERY single lab value (RF, ESR, anti-CCP, CRP, ad nauseum...) was stone-cold normal.

Here's hoping the Mobic does the trick...
If the anti-inflammatory doesn't work for you, you might want to look a bit deeper, but it sounds like they are on top of it.
