Got up this morning and needed to clean the kitty boxes. The pain in my hip was off the charts every time I bent over--I was in complete agony. As soon as I finished I took a Vicodin and waited for a good 10 minutes before attempting to get up again. Well... I am sorry. I hope the pain meds help you. And if you cannot wait until Thursday call your RD and tell them what is going on. I am sure they will find something to help make you more comfortable until they can see you.
My hip has been bothering me for days--I have had bursitis in it before, but I really haven't been Mr. Mobility so I didn't think it was back. And the last episode was years ago. Not like I was running around with two jobs as before. Well I pulled up the info from the web--arthritis can cause it and you can get it just sitting too long. I've never had so much pain--excruciating. I had cortisone shots before--not sure what the rheumatologist will think about this.
Just when I thought I was feeling a bit better--I was outside yesterday.
I am sorry, mab52. I hate it when that happens.
Can't wait till Thursday.
I do get discomfort in my lower back as well and I bet you are right about the sacroilliac joint being the one that hurts. If I lean over, that's where it grumbles. I was taking pictures in the last few months and had my camera on a tripod to photograph the stuff on my table. A couple of minutes of leaning over and it would hurt. Didn't think it was anything at the time.

Yes, bending over to pick something out of the floor casued me a lot of pain. So much pain that I just stopped bending over to pick stuff up. I thought mine was caused from where I tried to not give in to my knees being swelled and stiff all the time... I thought I had messed up something in my right hip because I tried to work thru the problems and not ride on an electric cart, instead walked around in slow motion, only speeds I had were slow and slower.
What sort of photography are you into.

Almost anything--I've done most everything from photojournalism to still lifes. I was busy photographing some possessions that I sold via the internet when my money was running a bit low since I've been out of work. Dinosaur Nikon FTN, used CDs to get the jpegs for the internet. Still don't have an electronic camera.
I would love to be able to run around with my cameras again. OK, I'll settle for walking Sounds like I could learn quite a bit off you...
Feel free to PM me Stephen if you think I can help you with something photographic.
How did Stephen get a picture of himself, taking a picture?Camera on tripod with self-timer perhaps
Image taken while standing in front of big mirror, them flipped horizontal in photoshop.
