A Question - pain | Arthritis Information

Why is it now that my swelling is way down, and hardly any in most joints, that I have pain? Let my joints be big as a grapefruit and not much pain and nothing feels broke.

Is it because the inflammation is cushioning my joints, so in turn less pain, because bones are not actually able to touch each other? I mean this pain I have had today feels like bone rubbing on bone and like something is broke.

I just took a Panlor DC, I hope that helps with this pain.

I hate it when the inflammation goes away, because that is when I have most of my pain.

Well, where I am having pain at today is in my left ankle. Usually it is swelled, but as of yesterday it is no longer swelled. My ankle hurts, feels like bone rubbing on bone, when I walk or stand on it for any amount of time, and hurts even after I am off of it. Like right now I have a throbbing pain in it and if I try to flex or move my foot is sends a sharp pain which in turn makes my foot jerk and causing more pain.

The Panlor DC did not really help with the pain, just made it tolerable. Good thing I am done with my day LOL! Which means I am not going to be walking around as much now.

Oh and it does swell a little if I do not get off of it when the pain gets worse.

Just thought it was something of interest for others to read. I know I would be interested if someone posted about how they had increased pain when no swelling.

Well... heck I am interested LOL! That is why I asked if anyone else had visible swelling, because it struck me that some who did not have visible swelling had more pain VS the ones who had visible swelling. Well... at least in my thought process and mind is seemed that way.
When my ankle first started to swell it would cramp every time i straightened my foot to put my pants on. You could not see the swelling yet. Now it is swelling and does not cramp like that. Go figure. My foot with the ankle that is painful, has fallen asleep. UGH! It hurts to wake it up

Well, I am off to take another pain pill so I can hopefully not have more pain while I try to sleep. And take the rest of my meds and go to sleep!

Night Milly. Hope you sleep well tonight.
Sweet dreams. And this means you are supposed to sleep. I am going to bed in a minute or two myself. Feel better tomorrow i know you will.
