OT: My Abi Kitty | Arthritis Information
Well... Abi Kitty is now officially "hubby material". He had been saying she was a lazy cat, that is why he does not "like" cats. I was like why you gotta call her a lazy cat? He said all she does is sleep or eat. I was like she is a kitten! He said well she also does not catch mice.
This morning around 4:45am, I was woke up by her running out of my room, she sounded like a horse stompping thru there. I went to the bathroom and then went to see what she was doing.
She had caught a baby mouse and was playing with it!
She was so proud of herself. She looked at me and made a talking sound as if to say "Look what I caught!"
I woke up hubby and told him she is now officially his kind of cat. He said why. I said because she caught a mouse.
Hubby got up about 30 mins later to get ready for work and I told him he was going to have to get rid of the mouse before he left so she would not wake me up later with a dead mouse on my bed. He laughed and said he was leaving it for her to play with. I was like oh no you are not!
He got it and took it outside and threw it in the garbage can. Now Abi Kitty is walking around sniffing and making some talking noise.
Before hubby left her petted her and told her she was a good kitty. And to keep up the good work.
I knew we had a mouse. I have heard it for about a month now. I was surprised she did not investigate the sound it was making on some nights. I do not know how she came upon it last night. But hopefully she will now be a good mouse catcher.
