JSNM - we're going to Seattle next week, 1st time there.  What was your favorite thing to see?
Good morning everyone, I am suffering from anaemic tiredness but I have managed to get a lentil, beef and potato hotpot in the oven for dinner this evening. This anaemia is worse than I thought. I have developed mouth sores and a sore tongue from it plus I am shakey and very breathless. I have iron capsules to take from the doctor, just waiting to go to specialist later.
I hope everyone has a good day
I am sorry, Pinnie.

JSNM - My hubby can nap ANYWHERE! He took naps in the airport, I was wide awake both times, well second time I was in pain from falling & breaking my elbow

SnowOwl - Hope you have a good visit at the nuring homes!

Hello all.  Sorry to hear we aren't all feeling our best today.  Hope everyone can get the rest they need so that tomorrow will be a better day.

I'm ok.  Home from work and I have tomorrow off so YAY for that.  I've been very tired these last few days, like where it's been work to hold my eyes open.   That's unusual for me.  I decided to skip the mill today thinking that maybe I just need a break.  So we'll see what comes from that.  But here's the weirdest thing.  After that big flare I had  a week or so ago, I never really snapped back to my regular self.  I mean, the swelling gone, but the joints that were swelled are still hurting me.  Not just aching, but when I have to do someting that requires any little bit of strenghth, they're sore.  Any comments on that?

Yup that sucks!  Not much help but thats my comment.  :-)
Just sounds like the aftermath of a flare to me. After I have one I hurt for a while after it has gone, and I still feel tired. Mine especially hurts in joints that swelled big, like my knees. They will feel like the joint has been stretched out and it makes it easier for me to "twist" something, which leads to more unneeded pain and if I do not be careful more swellig.

Or maybe because you missed all that sleep when you were flaring. I know they say you cannot catch up on sleep you lost, but I truly think you can when you have RA

I hope it starts to get better for you, Linky-Doodle! Hi Linncn,

Sorry to hear you're not feeling that great.  Last week was a bad one for me as well and this week I'm tired all the time.  Try and catch up on your rest when you can.  My joints hurt too when they were swollen last week.  I wanted to go to a water fitness class and asked my PCP about it; anyway, my PCP went ahead today and referred me for some physical therapy in the pool and whirlpool.  I asked her about some joint stretching and moving exercises that I can do in a pool.  They are going to teach me and then I can go to their pool and "work out."  I'm hoping the water will help some.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.  Hiking_gal
Thanks, it will.  It's not like I'm sitting here all miserable.  It's just weird that the pain is lingering because it hasn't before. My kid was chosen for honor city band, so we have a concert to go to tonight at the local college.  Then out to dinner to celebrate :)That's exciting.  What instrument does he play? I've often wondered how many hours ahead you all are, its 1815 here in edinburgh. Pink sky at night to night. Cat full and snoozing on my lap. Evening news all about Paul McCartney's divorce and his 24.3 million pay out and his wife moaning that £35K a year on top of that is not enough for her daughter!!!!!! What planet is she on?

Apart from that and the odd blip with pain, my fingers, elbows and feet are fine (fingers crossed).  Hands killed me on Sunday and the only thing I can think I did differently was eat cabbage with my roast lamb. I'm going to be a guineapig and see if it happens again.

I hope everyone's day warms up nicely and that all the lingering and aching eases too.

Hi Linncn,

Thanks...I can't wait to start my class on Thursday.  Feel better soon

Well I got myself out of the bed!! and off the heating pad.  I met a friend for lunch, got a card at Hallmark and mailed it, got back home and I am in pain still.  Over did on last Fri-Sun and I guess I am paying for it..... See my reg. doc tomorrow.  LauraWell I had a fun day.  My orthopedic surgeon is not impressed with my Physical Therapy progress on my frozen shoulder/torn rotator cuff.  He's talking about one operation to snip/unfreeze the shoulder and then possible surgery on the two partial tears!  AARGH!

Just a warning to everyone that this injury occured the weekend that I had my first ever RA flare and didn't know it.  I carried something heavy that weekend and here I am 5 months later with RA, 2 partial tears, frozen shoulder!! FUN!

Oh and tomorrow I get a CAT scan on my wrist to check if the spots on the xray are erosions.

Other than that...I feel darn good.

So, what if you do have erosions in your wrists?  Do they do anything about them?  They can't fix them or treat them, right?  So what's the point of the xray?
I'm wondering if that question sounds rude when you read it.  If you could hear me asking it, it wouldn't sound rude at all.  I'm really just wondering if theirs a real reason that you must know that their has been erosion.
No- you didn't sound rude at all.
