I have this terrible neck pain, when I turn my head then when I turn it back I get this muscle spasm that kills. I was recently diagnosed with RA, and can anyone tell me what I can do about it. Hot compress? This pain is worse than anyother pain I have!
Someone once told me for neck pain to try sleeping on bag of peas or buying one of those bead pillows. I use a magic bag myself. I know you can buy them in pharmacies. They are long enough to rest across your neck and lay on your shoulders and skinny enough to go from the base of your head to the top of your shoulders. You spray it with water and throw it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, just to warm it up. Then let it rest on your shoulders across your neck....ahhhhhhh...feels soooo good!
Also make sure your neck is supported when you sleep. This can resolve a lot of neck pain or lessen it for sure.
