Corticosteroid Injections | Arthritis Information

Hi,

I've been pretty miserable lately with  joint and tendon flare-ups in a couple fingers and one thumb.  I went to the hand doc yesterday and he injected all three sites with .05cc Kenalog (a synthetic, corticosteroid anti-inflammatory agent).  Since my Dx of inflammatory RA+ILD, 15mos ago, I've had eight, site specific injections in my fingers and wrists thus far but have never had to repeat any of the finger sites and only the wrists twice in 15 mos.

I really have nothing great, important or super revelatory to say.  I just wanted to watch my fingers fly over the keys with no pain this evening.  Thank you , God.

K.

PS:  Oh!, I do have something to say. I'd like to ask anyone who might know, how one goes about responding to a post without bumping it back to the top of the list.  I feel like an idiot every time I answer a post and it goes straight to #1 position again.

Ummm... yeah... I a chicken! Better you than me to get those injections LMAO! I have refused those even when old people were passing me in the hallway. Nope! Might have benefited greatly from them, but my mind says "Hell No!"

Oh and there is no way to do that. Just bump it, we do not care. I went on an article posting frenzy the other night and the whole first page was mostly them. And not many of them got a lot of views either. *scratches head* heheheheheee!
I'm a huge fan of cortisone injections. Glad you're getting the relief you need.

Bumping it up to the top signals everyone that there is a new response to the thread. If it didn't no one would notice it. Don't worry about it.....it's a good thinking. We're glad you're posting.
