OT - Sad local news for me | Arthritis Information

Sort of, this comes out of my family's (BOTH sides, my mom AND dad's) hometown, Spooner WI.

Tiny little town, one McDonalds that they got recently and were SO excited about. 3 stoplights until the late 90s, that kind of town. You know, where everyone knows everyone??

Anyway, a chemical factory exploded. It was a small one, but 2 people were VERY seriously injured. While no one in my immediate family knows them, I'm sure they know OF them, or know their family. It's just that kinda town.

So if you wouldn't mind keeping them in your prayers, that would be really nice. :)

HI Katie, so sorry to hear the awful news, I will pray for them, and you of course.  Hugs Janie. That's very sad.  My prayers are with them. Prayers sent...so sad.  How sad.Thank you guys. I forgot to mention that the explosion was big enough they evacuated everyone south of the yellow river............or some river like that .........I just woke up thats my excuse......

lol

Anyway, that was my grandma! She actually lived within walking distance. So Char (old family friend) had to come get her and keep her for a day or so. Poor grandma. She doesn't really drive anymore and she's slow and usually sick at this point. Musta either scared her senseless or pissed her off. It's one or the other, no in betweens. LOL

anew - I did not grow up there, my dad was in the AF. But I've spent just about every summer there growing up!
Katie, what do you mean that that was your grandma? They evacuated everyone south of the river, thats my grandma! And like.......4 streets of houses. LoL

Its a SMALL town.....

Good thin they got the town cleared.  Sad about the ones who didn't make it.  That's gotta turn a town that size upside down.
