I Got It All Figured Out | Arthritis Information

I have figured it out, well I was told that is what it was, but I was not sure. So... I tested it.

When I get to feeling like the room is spinning, and feel short of breath that is when my BP is elevated and my pulse is rapid.

I felt like that after we went and got MIL from work, so I asked her if she would check my BP when we got to her house, she has an analog BP so I cannot use it. So she checked it and my BP was 130/89 and she checked my pulse which was 129.

After I get one of those episodes I feel soo tired, like I actually did some thing when I did nothing but sit there until the lightheadedness went away.

I cannot tell when any of it is up until I am lightheaded.

I tried to work thru an episode of it earlier today. I had not been as lightheaded today as I have the days before, not many episodes today. SO... I decided to change the kitty litter and clean up around the laundry room, and about a little ways into it I started feeling lightheaded. But I just kept on doing what I was doing. I started sweating and it was not even hot! I FINALLY finished. And my left ankle was very painful, my right hip was hurting and my lower back, from all the bending over I done to get stuff outta the floor and sweep and all.

After I sat down. I felt like I had REALLY done some strenuous task or some thing. I still did not feel my heart pounding or any thing like that, just felt like I had a hard time breathing and very lightheaded. Kinda like how you feel when you have an asthma attack, and you know it is time for a puff off the ole inhaler. That is how it was today.

I think starting tomorrow I am going to keep track of how many times I have the lightheaded episodes, because that is when my BP and/or Pulse is elevated. Since I cannot check my BP. It will give me a good idea of how many times it does it in a day.

I had to take a nap today, after I cleaned that one room. It REALLY made me tired after I tried to work thru that episode of the BP & pulse elevated. I slept for like 4 hours. And I still feel tired, but I also had another episode about an hour ago, too.

This is really starting to get on my nerves. If it is not one thing, it is another. You need to find or get a BP machine to use at home.  This is not a hohum type of thing...you are more susesptable to heart attack and stroke b/c of the autoimmune diseases and what they do to the heart.  YOu also need to be seen by your GP...no excuses right away and let them know about it.

I do not want ya droppin' dead on us...who would give us any humor at all!
sorry you're having so much difficulty   Are you taking anything for the low potasium? And how is your bloodsugar ?  I do not mean to bust your bubble when you get it all figured out. Of course we know not to always believe what we read. I read a couple of days ago that almost hardly anyone ever gets signs of high blood pressure unless it is so super high they are in serious danger. But you sure are having signs of something. I get sweaty when i have low blood sugar. I get dizzy alot but i do not have high blood pressure. Actually i get a throbbing and pressured up feeling in my head alot but i do not have high blood pressure. You said your potasium was low. Actually you had about as low of potasium as i have ever seen. I worry about you. If you feel awful go to the eroom. Because your bloodpressure would have to be really high to cause that. You do need to eat regular joonie. I always ate three squares or would be an ornery cuss.

With lymphoma I could go almost a day with nothing--wasn't hungry, no pangs, could care less. Even on chemo, none of the normal signs of hunger came up. I had to discipline myself to eat regardless of what I felt like--heck I could of eaten a cow and I wouldn't gain a pound. But I ate every day as best I could. It's really important. Before I knew I was sick I lost 30 pounds. When I went on chemo I lost another 20 pounds. Could of been a high fashion model
