Oh I forgot I need to take a shower to get this sticky glue stuff off of me, from those heart monitor patches they put on me AGAIN!
Night hope everyone had a good Friday, because I sure did not.
Hey Joonie, that is awful, I think you should have gone back to the ER, did anything show up for your heart? I think if it was me, mine would be going up worrying about it going up. Please be careful, take the kids with you if you have to, just don't wait. I think you should be seeing your Rheumy and possibly a cardiologist. Take it easy and kepp us posted. Praying for you, regards JAnie.
Joonie, I am so sorry you are having so much trouble. It must have been scary for you. I shtere any chance one of your meds is causing your bp to rise and your pulse?
I really hope you feel better soon
take care

Sure hope your BP/Pulse gets under control- I take Toprl XL too with good results. Also take a diuretic with it.
You are smart to get to the ER when you are having symptoms like you had. Hope they don't continue.
Please have a Happy Easter with your husband & children!
Glad to hear you were released. Hope you feel better soon.Joonie
Sorry you're having such a rough time , Joonie..hope you're feeling better soon!Another thing... make sure the ER sends your records to your primary care doc, and make sure to follow up with him/her. Have the records sent to your rheumatologist as well, because he/she needs to be kept in the loop on all your medical issues.
Hey, I have that CD! Along with a mind/body connection kit. My BF bought it for me quite a while ago but I never have used it so far. Does it really help? I don't use it because I don't normally get very stressed out.
Joonie, I was thinking maybe you're having a reaction to your meds, too. I guess if you have to add another one you have to, but it would be better not to. I hope it get sorted out soon.I'm so sorry to hear you're having a tough time and hope you feel better soon. Hiking_gal

Yep - it definitely helps! If I'm way stressed out, I can practice some deep-breathing and relaxation and lower my heart rate by 5-10bpm and lower my blood pressure 5 points or so.
Metoprolol is a pretty safe drug, and it's very effective. Joonie's blood pressure and wacky heartbeats need to be corrected NOW, regardless of the cause - the doctors can then work out the details.
I do not think it is my meds I am taking. As I am still taking the same ones that RD gave me way back in September of '07. I have yet to change over to my new muscle relaxer & still have not felt up to giving the Minocin a try again yet.
I am taking Nortriptyline before bed, prednisone before bed, Robaxin before bed, Imuran before bed, and some type of pain med before bed ranging from Naproxen to Davrocet depending on pain.
I do not take any meds thru the day, because I of course will forget to take them, so I take everything before I go to bed. I take the prenisone just before I feel like i am going to go to sleep, that way it will not keep me awake.
Like I said I do not think it is my meds, but IF I had to pick one.... I would say it is either Remicade or Imuran. I read that Imuran can cause Pancrenitis which will also mess with your pulse & BP, along with pain in your right side. I had the pain in my lower back right side, felt like kindey, but since my GP "punched" me around my kindeys asking me if it hurt, the pain has went away. I thought was kinda odd. I'm glad your pain has gone away, double check with docs about that hbp....that can't be good.
Feel better soon!
Sorry to hear of all your issues. I hope you are feeling better and can enjoy Easter!Joonie: My mom suffers from congestive heart failure and when out of control she has displayed symptoms pretty much like yours. So is your gp treating you or has he sent you to or recommended you see a heart specialist?
Sorry you're not feeling well at all. Gentle Hugs
The only meds I have were RXed by my RD. I have only been to my GP a couple times since I changed GP's, and never been RXed anything by my GP.
I think I am suppose to find out about all the results of everything my GP done, when I was to go back to him in April. But I guess I will be finding out some time next week, since I am to make an appointment on Monday to be seen again.
I got my RX for Toprol XL today. I took it about dinner time. My BP is still borderline, but my pulse is down to about 110. I am still very lightheaded and get dizzy spells when I am sitting down. But I have not had much of shortness of breath.
I scared hubby tonight. We went to another town to look for me a palm pilot, I did not get one they did not have the cheap one in stock. And on the way home my neck was starting to feel tense, so I was doing neck rolls and when my head got down to about my chest. My hubby freaked. He shook me and said are you ok. I was like yeah, was just stretching my neck muscles they were being to tighten up. He said oh ok, I thought you passed out or something.
I have a lot of internal pains. Have for a long time now. They were told to be IC, bladder infections, or nothing wrong. I know I have pain! It ranges from dull ache to intense double you over crying from pain pain. Most of the pain is in my right side and to the back. I have had these pains way before I started on any meds I am on now. So, I am not sure what is causing these pains, but am told they are IC, or bladder infections. Well... I have had 2 urine tests done this week, and none of them show bacteria or protien in my urine.
One time, I had blood in my urine, that was a few days after I had some bad pains in my right side, the reason I made an appointment to see my GP, but there was nothing else in my urine. GP just told me to go see my urologist, which I did not keep my appointment because of insurance problems, so I had to cancel. My urologist DXed me with over active bladder, when I did go to him the first time, but then later my GP DXed me with IC. I am staying with the IC DX, because I do have all of those symptoms. I did not have but a few of the over active bladder symptoms.
Well... maybe this will all be straightened out next week. And I really do not have high blood pressure, but it just being caused by something else. I like eating meat a little too much Wow.. how scarey!
I am so sorry you are having these issues. I hope they get to the bottom of it quickly!!!
