Well goodmorning everyone.  I havent started this is a loooonng time so thought I would start one up today...Today is mine and my husbands 6th anniversary!  It is the 3rd day of spring here in IL and we have about 3 inches or so of SNOW on the ground!! Wont be hiding any easter eggs outside tomorrow for kelsay to find...Will have to do it inside this year.

So Kelsay said the funniest thing last night to my husband that made me realize that well, she watches wayyyy to much tv.  There is this STUPID commercial here in IL that I guess is soposed to get you the money you are entilited to if you have a anutiy or something to that effect where you are only getting monthly payments...well the catch phrase in the commercial is " its my money and I want it now" Well Kelsay went and layed in her bed yesterday before dinner after my mom and my little brother had left and my hubby went in to lay by her and talk w/ her for a few mins.  He went under the covers and made it so the covered him and her both...well she pulled em back up to her and he pulled them back down and she goes "They're my covers and I want em now"  OMG when he had her tell me what she had said I just busted out laughing...It was way to funny.  So yea just wanted to share that w/ you :)

Hope everyone has a great day!!

What is everyones Easter plans?

LOL I HATE those commercials!!!! We always laugh about how angry everyone is in them. Haha

I'm EXHAUSTED. I have some errands to run this AM and another hellish day at work. 11 more days until Kevin comes back from his honeymoon and I won't have to work as much! (or as hard? Haha)

*sigh* Okay, lata!
Good Morning Everyone,

Kelsey sounds like a cutie. My kids are grown or mostly grown and I miss those days.
Arris- 11 days is a long time- they should get you a temp to help out!

I baked a carrot cake for dessert tonight and I am making Sicilian Meatloaf. I'm going to look for a fancy side dish to make too. I think I mentioned in another post that my son is home from college. I enjoy when all the kids are home and we can have family dinners together.

I may run out to Bed Bath & Beyond to look for a shower curtain and rugs for the upstairs bathroom. Hubby just overhauled it with new grout, caulk, paint, etc. Haven't been able to find anything I like anywhere yet.

For Easter we are having dinner out at a restaurant that was converted from an 1800's girl's school. It is very quaint, decorated in period furniture and has many rooms with fireplaces. It's snowing (flurries) here so it will be plenty cold to use them. They have a nice menu which includes wild game which my husband and sons love.

Happy Easter to all!
We have over 10 inches of snow on the ground up here near the Cheddar Curtain!

My husband's company had the foresight to send everyone home at noon, so luckily he got home while the driveway was still navigable.  The wardens at my cube farm didn't officially close until 3PM, but I went AWOL at 1:30PM.  It took me almost 4 hours to get home (20 miles).  Then I had to shovel my way INTO the driveway, as our plow guy hadn't gotten there.  OMG I woke up this morning and my back is killing me!  I guess I should go to the gym a bit more!!! Yeah, we got a ton of snow yesterday too.  Yay Spring!!   The roads were terrible, an ice rink.  And the snow started just before rush hour.  What a mess.  The roads are good now though and it's a beautiful sunny day.Yep, it's really bright and sunny here too.  I had to do a bit more shoveling this morning and it was absolutely beautiful out!   It's sunny here and I've been going out in my spring jackets. Everything is either budding or blooming.

Happy Anniversary!

I know what it's like to have kids home from college from the other side--I'm one of the kids :) I go to school in a big city, so it's nice to come back to my little home town and do some gardening and cooking... I'm really excited about baking some vegetables and maybe making sweet-potato soup. Both my parent's birthday's are this week, so we're having dinner with my Dad tonight and going to spend tomorrow with my mom's family tomorrow... Easter, St. Patrick's Day, and Birthday all in one!

My Dad's been kind of weird about his birthday this year (he's 50!) and I'm not sure what to do about it.

Anyway for now I am boppin' around on my favorited blogs and this forum, which I'm trying to get more reactivated on.

Happy Spring everyone!
OOPS!!   Shannon, I forgot to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!  Hope you get to do something special :)cute story!!

I have all my windows open, its sunny, in high seventies and wish i was driving around!!!

ohhh for the 50th bd, Do NOT make aging jokes, truly Lol...
just buy him something nice and special..

or make him a cool photo/ scrap book and thank him, for all the good memories, or write them down... things you appreciate about him..

aging is like fine wine~
WHISPERED!! I PMed you, and your box is full.  LOL

So I'll just say it here.

I'm not ignoring you! I swear!! I've been slammed at work. Had a guy quit, and another one is off getting married and going on his honeymoon. So I've been working pretty much alone during the busiest spring break EVER *sigh*

I get up, go to work, try NOT to kill a tourist or two, come home, veg for an hour or so, eat, and go to bed. Repeat. *sigh*

Hopefully things will be back to normal around April 1st ish.

I hope. LOL
