Couple of questions | Arthritis Information

Afternoon, everyone! I hope this posting finds you all having a wonderful Easter!

I've got a couple of questions for you guys.

1) Do any of you notice teeth sensitivity prior to a flare? I think we may have touched this subject previously, but I can't remember.

2) I'm not sure if this is really a question... I've been experiencing pain and weakness in my left arm for a few weeks now. It's really uncomfortable. The only way I can explain it is that it feels like the center of my arm is hollow, painful and weak. I thought maybe it was tendinitis, but I'm just not sure any more since it's been going on for a while now. I've tried heat and advil, but it doesn't really help. So anyhow, I was just wondering if any of you guys had experienced anything like this.

Hope y'all are all having a superfantastic and extra-comfortable weekend! *hugs*
1. - No, but I get that with PMS. Fun, eh?

2. - When I get that it's referred pain from my neck. Just heard back about my neck x-rays and I'm clear of RA there (YAY!!!) So it's stress related. I have no injury or damage to *anything* in my neck. (again, YAY!) So my next step is to work on some stress issues. Goodie....LOL
1) yes, I definately have sensitive teeth, especially when the barometric pressure changes...as do my joints hurt.

2)Yes I have had that feeling. You probably need to m ake an appt. with PCP for that. Mine comes from the bad shoulder I have had for years. Just ask my RD ! I belive it is in the rotary cuff.

1) No
2) Yes.  The worst pain ever was the result of an injury to my cervical spine, and that was referred pain, so the doctors thought any arm problem I had from then on was neck related.  Not so.  Turns out this connective tissue disease is the real culprit because the RA drugs really help keep it under control.  I still don't know exactly what's going on and why it's feeling the way it does, which is similar to your description, but the meds do help.  When I cut back on the Plaquenil, it was my arm that let me know that I screwed up.  The RD told me that it means the meds are barely keeping the disease controlled and he upped the dosage of the MTX because I was already at the max most people take for Plaquenil.  Maybe you need to have your meds tweaked as well.
