Can't deal with this alone [/QUOTE]

Hi Veter5,

I quoted your post onto a new thread because I thought people might miss getting a chance to welcome you on that long thread I took your post from. No one should have to be alone with this disease so I welcome you to the online community. This is a place where people understand what you're going through!

Stories of the uninsured always break my heart. I hope you are able to find some medical resources soon. It sounds like you're doing what you can on your own, and that's a good start!

Welcome to AI.Hi Veter...welcome!Thanks for moving that from where ever you moved it from Gimp. Sadly this area is often all many of us have time to look at.

Welcome Veter. I'm sorry you've had to give up running. The people I know that run claim it's wonderful for the spirit as well as the body. The mind/body connection is very strong. You're wise to work to streghthen that.

Welcome to AI. We're glad you're here.
Hi Veter, I did not see your previous post at all, so thanks Gimpy for bringing it to our attention.
Welcome Veter!
welcome

have you checked out free clinics to get medical treatment?
Hi Veter, and welcome.  It seems you've accepted the fact that you will have to stop running and that's a good thing.  I've known a few runners and eventually they all had problems with their knees, even without any OA or RA issues to deal with.  The constant pounding finally caused pain and damage.  So switching to more gentle exercise will benefit you anyway, as you've indicated.  Your love of physical fitness is going to be a huge asset to you as you continue this new journey.  You already have a great attitude and I hope we'll be able to help you with whatever else you need in the way of support.  Welcome Veter5,

Some of the RA drug companies will help you out with providing their drugs to you when you can't afford them.
