* The Prescription program is subject to the following restrictions.

This program is available at all Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Neighborhood Market pharmacies, except in North Dakota (the pharmacies inside North Dakota Wal-Mart stores are leased and operated by third-party providers). prescriptions are for up to a 30-day supply of a covered drug at a commonly prescribed dosage. Your participation in certain prescription-drug plans may entitle you to pay even less than for certain prescriptions. If you are eligible, you will be charged the lowest applicable amount. Certain drugs are priced higher in CA, CO, HI, MN, MT, PA, TN, WI, and WY due to state laws.

The list of covered drugs is subject to change. Not all prescription drugs are covered by this program.

Only prescriptions initially filled in person at a participating pharmacy are eligible for the rate; refills must also be picked up in-store, but may be ordered in person, online or by phone. This program is not available for prescriptions filled by mail order. See your Wal-Mart pharmacist for more information.

Go to their website for a full list of generic prescriptions. Even with insurance I always pay at least per prescription and that adds up quick! I could so use that extra in my gas tank every month.
Yeah, I get a few drugs through there....so nice.  Yep gas is waaay too high!

DO you know that I used to be able to drive from Muncie, Indiana to Tampa Fla. for .00 one way? Now it costs at least that much to drive to Muncie and back from Michigan!

THen there are the milk prices. And bread. I used to shop at Aldi......it is about a 30 minute drive to one for me now.....and with gas......ick!
The list covers a lot more stuff. Now if we could just get an in-store doc visit for a nominal co-pay--that would be great. Target also does a list, you can get that at target.com.

I'm not sure if *all* targets do it though. I know it's a plus for us, because getting anything at Wal-mart pharmacy is a NIGHTMARE. Target is so much faster. So there's that too!
I really only go to Kerr Drug because the one I go to is a really small (not so busy) store near my office. I've been using them for so many years they grab my prescriptions as they see me walking toward them. They are so great I hate taking any of my business anywhere else. I often seek their advice before my doctor's when it comes to medications just because they are more accessible. I won't rule out using Wal-Mart or Target (Good to know!) in the future though for certain meds I might be able to get cheaper there. Every little bit counts these days. We also have a chain grocery store, Price Chopper, that has the prescriptions.   And each store's lists vary by a little bit, so you can pick up their list of discount meds and find the store that fits you best, or perhaps use more than one.

One thing you do have to watch is the dosage amount.  Walmart has diclofenac 75 mgs. at the discounted price, but I take 100 mgs. which is not on the list.  Also, I have to take twice the standard dosage for my BP meds, and I have to pay , instead of for it.

I wish I didn't have to go to Walmart and that I could use a smaller, more personal pharmacy.  The service at Walmart does leave a lot to be desired.
That's what I found in the pasat so I stopped using them years ago when I moved close to the ones I use now.

It's not too bad though when you need other thigns from there too. You can drop off; shop and pick up.
I know, I HATE how slow and mean wal-mart people can be. I have to stand in line and remind myself over and over how much money I'm saving.........LOL

If your med is on the list just not in the quanity that you need the price doesnt automatically jump to the "normally high price"  I take pred 5mg 2 a day and the list says that max quanity for the .00 price is 30 well I need 60 (cept this last time when somehow they screwed up and gave me 240 LOL yea i dunno) and I only pay like .00 and some change...If your med is on there call your walmart and find out, dont just assume that cause the quanity is not what you need it wont be covered
