Does anyone have any info about blurred side  vision and RA?

I am getting all different answers from docs about what is going on with my eyes.
from dry eye to ocular migraines to thyroid disease to Rheumatoid arthritis.
HI Gingee, the only thing I can say is that I was having vision probs and had to see an eye specialist, he found I had very high pressure in my eyes, causing me to see strange black objects coming at me, but they weren't really there, I had been on prednisone for years and I had glaucoma, this can make you blind, I had eyedrops and steroid drops all to no avail so ended up having laser surgery which worked thank God.  If you are concerned at all about your eyes - don't put off a specialist visit.  I also have episcleritis, inflammation of the sclera, (invisible covering of your eyeball).  Best of luck, Janie.
Hi Ginjee welcome, macular degeneration can cause the side blurriness. Do you take plaquenil for your RA as that can cause it. Either way I think it would be best to see an eye specialist just to make sure your eyes are ok. Ally

I would adise any eye problems are cheched pout just to be on the safe side, RA affects us in so many ways and your sight is precious.

I see an opthamologist for my eye issues and my RA/ possibly Sjogren's.....  I use Restaisis and eye drops prescribed for the dryness... it does affect my vision.. reading is more difficult when the eyes are dry..

good luck to you.
