What the name of the original drug?Diclofenac is the generic form of Voltaren. I take 100 mgs. twice a day and find it works better for me than other NSAIDS I have tried. And it doesn't cause any stomach problems for me either. I am trying to stick with it as long as possible, rather than moving on to narcotics for pain relief.

However, be aware, it is a NSAID, so it does come with risks, but if dramatically increases your quality of life, as it does mine, it may be worth the risks.
