Has anyone here ever switched from Enbrel to Rimacaid, and had to go through what they call a flushing out period.  My RD's nurse said I have to go six weeks before starting Rimcaid.  Tell me how in the Hell do you do that.  Thats why I am switching I can't get any releif.  I am off the Mtx. Enbel  is not even touching this pain. I have to take a pain pill to even get out of bed. NutI did.  My dr. upped my pred during the time period.  You also have to remember, that Remicade can take up to 6months to really take effect.  But, it was worth it in the end.  I went through the same thing while switching to the Orencia.  My Rd told me not to worry about the pred. use during this time period.  I also did PT while waiting for the Orencia.  The ultrasound treatments helped with pain and inflammation.

I hope the Remicade is your magic drug.  It worked really well for me for a number of years.
I had a waiting period between Enbrel and Remicade and then between Remicade and Humira.  RD upped dose of Pred. when I needed it.  It can be a very looooong wait but if one of the biologics work for you it's worth the wait.  Enbrel and Remicade both failed, so I went back to Humira and am now in clinical remission of my RA.  Good luck.  Lindy How long is the wait. I have been on Embel for 2 Months?Hi PN, I don't remember how long the wait was between med. changes.  I can't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday and you want me to remember that?
