Does anyone else have problems with serious brain fog from either the RA or MTX?

Kathryn
I can walk into our schedule room at work- look at the board to tell a client when their job will run- walk out the door- and the info walks right out of my mind.LOL...I do the same thing.  I can have a plan to do something, come over to my deask and computer, and by the time I sit down, I have no idea why or what I was planning on doing...it drives me CRAZY!! I've never taken methotrexate... but yea, the mental slowness and fatigue are worse for me than the joint pain.  Plaquenil has definitely helped with pain and swelling, but it hasn't done much for the fatigue/slowness.Yes, Yes,Yes. I cant seem to get my thoughts together some of the time. I have noticed I am not as sharp as i use to be. I hate it. I'm on enbrel, mtx, celebrex, folic acid, and synthroid.Does anyone else have trouble articulating? I can't seem to find the words to say what I'm thinking about anymore.huh?what was the question..? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.  I'm always reaching for words and can't for the life of me remember the names of simple things that used to be no problem.  HATE IT!!!

I don't take MTX but I sure can relate. Especially finding the right word. I also go into the kitchen or a room and can't remember why I went there. My kids or hubby tell me things coming up and I have a calender and dry erase board for them to write on so I can remember. I also keep lost of post it notes handy to write down stuff so I don't forget.  I have a little chihuahua that I love dearly, and one day I forgot I let her out to go potty and was looking all through my house hollering her name then I saw her out the window by the door. Poor thing was shivering, it was cold out. I felt so bad for her. I hope she understands. I talked to her and she "cool" with it.  My kids 15 year son and 20 year old daughter think I'm looney cuz' I carry with our dog and I talk to her all the time like she's a real person. It's just her and I all day and I swear she understands. LOL
