Well, I did it, what a clutz! There I was, spralled egale on the grass after tripping on a small "hole" this afternoon. Now I have 2 broken bones, one at the ankle and the other at the base of the small toe mid foot. They put on one of those gorgous gray plastic walking casts with velcro closings--very sheik! No more swimming or tai chi for 6 weeks, but worst of all we leave for our 5 week visit back home in the states (TX and MA) in just 3 weeks. Got to see the "kids" and the 2 newest grandbabies. I am determined that this thingy is not going to spoil our trip!!! Lesson learned -- with osteoporosis be EXTRA CAREFUL when walking anywhere and watch feet at all times! Hi Carter, I am new here. walking up to the front counter at work and stumbled because of a bump
in the carpet and rolled my ankle. I ended up chipping the bone that
sticks out a little on the bottom of my right foot, fracturing a bone
in my ankle and fracturing my 5th metatarsal causing a decent sized
stress fracture along the bone.
