All I know is in the event that my dx is cancer and given the choice of which Onocoligist, I would choose Dr. Fisher in Indiana cause I know him from church and he would be very conscientious and he knows his stuff.

Jode, why do you think you have cancer?  Did I miss something in my MXT brain fog?  LindyI do not know....I am just preparing myself for worse case scenerio cause of the xrays.

I will have to go through my PCP an dhe will decide......just mentioned that Onocologist cause I know him....I will not have a choice, that is up to my PCP....it may just be something simple.

I worry too much! lol
It is so weird, I just feel like i have the shingles again.....tht is what I thought it was several months ago.I hope you don't have cancer. No one needs that. What did the xrays show? Do you know yet? What symptoms lead you to worry about this?Noboody has told me what the xrays report  Hopefully I will learn in the next couple of days.

THe pain, the fact the my RD says it is not RA an dthat I should talk to my PCP about it. I am a worry wort. I am just trying to prepare myself.
what area did you have xrayed? SO your PCP did the xrays?I am like you, Jode. I worry about having cancer all the time now, since my dad died from cancer 3 years ago February. Before than I did not worry much about it, because no one else in my family had cancer. And then... my half sister called and told me he was ate up with it and they were not going to do chemo on him because it was too late. So... now, that my half sister says RA runs in my dad's family, which is where I got my J/RA from probably, I worry now that I will have the cancer risk from his side of the family too.

Much good thoughts your way, Jode.
what sort of cancer was it Joonie?I do not remember. I will have to ask my sister when I talk to her via IM again. He died at the age of 52. thankyou Joonie.

This particular set of xrays were taken when I went to the ER in January due to a severe anxiety attack. I was coughing so the ER Dr. ordered xrays of my chest......I told him I thought it was allergies, just white sputum.

Then the next day they called me and needed another set of xrays, and they tool several sets and of different positions wanting front neck and chest mostly. I had to stand with my arms and shoulders back and my head back with chest outward. I am sure I looked like I was a dork! lol

These x'rays were taken in Jan?  Its April now...why haven't you gotten the results before now.  Who ordered the xrays?

I have no idea, my neighbor just asked me what took so darned long? I have no idea.

I will tell you this. I had better medical attention at cheaper prices in Indiana.....although I do really like my PCP. He moved here when I did.

You are in my prayers. I hope it is not cancer. I hope it not shingles either that is painful.what happened to picking up the phone and calling for the resultsHey remember my Nuclear Bone Scan I had done in Dec '07? Well, I  did not even get to hear the results of that until I asked for a copy of the report my last infusion. And I asked for a copy of the report back in Jan, and the lady told me they had not received it. But on my copy of the report it said it was received by RD's office Dec 28, 2007. SO... either someone at my RD's office is not so bright and does not know how to retrieve reports or some thing else. LOL!

Where in Indiana?

THe xray tech told me at the time that if they found anything that needed my attention they would contact me.

Muncie, Indiana.........my RD's name is Dr. Gordon Hughes

Keep us posted Jodejjr-
Hopefully it is a flase alarm. Will say prayers for that outcome

well then you can continue to assume nothing was found since you were never contacted or if you want to put your mind at ease call and get the results.  Sitting, fretting and planning your potential treatment without facts is simply a waste of energy both physical and emotionalGenerally speaking, I don't get notified of test results unless something is wrong.  Jode, I'll bet that's what is happening.  I agree with Buckeye.  Give them a call if you are worried.Jode, If they would have found something suspicious, they would have contacted you long before now. Buckeye is right, this worry is a waste of energy. Worry can cause problems too. There are other signs of cancer such as coughing up blood, weight loss and other symptoms. Please don't worry until you hear otherwise. If it is nagging at you, get on the phone and get results.
