not sure how to spell huntch hunch etc. but anyone have that ugly lump on your back that makes you look like you ring the bell at the top of the tower?

Just wondering if it is a jinx from my mom or if others have it too.
I dont have it myself but I have a couple of friends with ankylosing spondylitis that have the humped back.Yeah, its hunchback.

I have scoliosis and kyphosis, a back which hunches over and is curved, and my spine has fused a bit on my hunch, which is a bit odd at my old age of 26. I wore a back brace for 2 years to prevent me from having to have a steel rod in my back. I also have spondilyarthripathy. As if all the RA affected joints aren't bad enough, eh!?
_popupControl(); I think I'm starting to get one  It's also known as a dowagers hump.  My partner mentioned it the other day when I had a round necked top on.   Time to change the style of necklines on tops me thinks.

I feel mines probably due to osteo as I've had a few injuries to my spine over the years.
the "buffalo hump" is a side effect of the prednisone alsoIf you have a buffalo hump-make sure your dr. is aware. That is a pretty major pred. side effect.

That was what I was going to ask- are you on prednisone because I heard that can cause a hump. Not yet but i expect it as my mother does. My family history has the ladies with the bed ridden broken backs by the age of 60. It has always been a scary thought. My RD is having me tested on the 16th. He probably thought i had a hunched back. He kept telling me to sit up straight. I had a tight muscle in my back under my shoulder blade that day and it was painful to sit up straight. LOL What a control freak my RD is. Docs often say OA i did not tell them it would be more likely to have osteoporoses check spelling. Anyway i have always dismissed the docs when they go this direction. Well for one i did not want them dismissing my RA. For two it scars me and i prefer to be in denile. How do i put this. I let them test me. I will let them treat me. I will not ever admit that i have it. LOL As the misery my greatgrandmother and her daughter had has terrified all of the female decendents in my family. Now my mom that is denile. She will not get tested or treated and you can see it.It's actually a family thing i have had since a kid.  My mom and brother have it, he calls it the family jinx. :)
