What are normal/abnormal test results | Arthritis Information

I think I may have seen this somewhere on here so feel free to just redirect me but does anyone know where I can find what the normal ranges should be for the bloodwork that the dr ordered yesterday?  Results will be back this next week and I'd like to kind of have an idea of what I'm looking at.  (CCP may be back on Monday)

Here's what he ordered (if I'm reading his writing right)
CBC
ESR
CRP
LFTs
creo (sp?)
HBsag
anti-HCV
anti-CCP

I recognize a couple of these but am pretty clueless still!

Thanks!
Rachel
one of the best places on the web to interpret results is found at http://drugtestsonline.org It will have most of them.Hmmmm...drugtestsonline.org didn't pull up anything.  Any ideas?Try http://www.labtestsonline.org/.thanks!
I found several of them but not:
LFTs
crea (sp?)
HBsag
anti-HCV

Also, what is considered positive and/or high levels on the anti-CCP?
I think they are:

LFT - liver function test
HCV - Hepatitis C Virus
CREA - maybe it's C-Reactive Protein (CRP)?
HBSAg - Hepatitis B Surface Antigen

When I had my Anti-CCP, normal levels were less than 20.  I think labs are different, though.

Crea probably stands for creatine

I think you may be right on the hep tests b/c I know that was the other one that would be ready on Mon (along with ccp)  I had kind of narrowed the LFT to liver function too.  Still not sure on the  crea(whatever) because he also ordered a CRP.

The biggies from what I understand are the white blood cell and hemocrit in the CBC and the CCP and maybe the ESR and CRP??

Mostly I'm interested in the CCP that I hope to get back on Monday.  All I have found is that positive is a very likely indicator that RA is to come but have also read that low levels may not be significant but high are....but can't find anything that indicates what is considered high??
When you get the report, lows/highs will be 'flagged'.  You will be able to look at the report (if you are given one) and know what the range is supposed to be, and where you are out of range.

I used to think drs. figured all that out themselves, but no, the lab does it for them.

I agree with LinB, crea is probably creatinine - kidney, I think?  If not that, then liver something.
If your doctor does not give you a copy of your labs, ask for one. I get copies of all my labs, x-rays and other tests. With x-rays, CTs, MRI's, you should be able to get a copy of the report, even if you can't get copy of films.

I keep a file and take any new results to my other specialists so they all know what the others are doing. Seems to work out well and can help other docs if they need more info to track my "progress".

I think it is very important that we are all familiar with the labs and what they are for. It might help you ask the right questions.

Be well, Nini
Anything on my bloods that can help explain things.
Blood results
Since you are most interested in the CCP results - here are my Lab's ranges:

Less than 20 units......Negative
20-39..........................Weak Positive
40-59..........................Moderate positive
60 or greater..............Strong positive

Labs do vary slightly.  I always get copies of my labs as well.  Let us know how your labs turn out.
