hi all any one noticed different drug manufactures drugs
have different effects... ihave been on pred 13 yrs same box same drug
no probs at all.. my lt prescipt we took in to another chemist the boxes
were totally different .. took the meds and walop stomach was churning and felt ill
went back to a few i had in my old box and ok again.. they allso appeared
to be not so powefull.. 20mg felt like i had 5mg..
allso had this prob on mtx  they were allways in a yellow box in a blister
pack then they changed to a bottle and loose and a different shape
knocked me ill... just trying to say people who are having probs on meds
may be due to a bad copy of the original.. and  are losing out as the original
may be better...  i am taking these meds to the docs see what he says..

edited for spellings mistakes   Boney2008-04-06 12:26:03the active ingrediats of the drugs should be the same but you may be reacting to the inactive ingrediantsThe binders, preservatives, and inernt ingredients can be different from manufacturer to manufacturer.  Like Buckeye said you may be reacting to these ingredients.  LindyIt is the proper medicine--right?  They can make mistakes.

A pharmasist recently told me one of his customers is allergic to three different drug companies. Can take the meds just not from certain companies. So LinB is correct. You need to tell your docs. Write down what you know and check with pharmacy to see what you can figure out. It is worth a shot. I have noticed simalar problems in the past and when switching back felt better. I had never tried with something i was full blown allergic to. The pharmasist says this fellow he knows does just fine now that he solved his riddle.

thanks all.. for the pointers...  milly that customer sure sounds like me..

you would think all meds would have exactly the same things in them..
regardless of manufacturer..people may be deprived of a med that works
just because they did not get the originall..
