Hi everybody. I'm new here for the second time. I was a member a couple of years ago and drifted away. Met so many goods friends, some I still email. It's such a great site.
I've had RA for 7 years and got it very suddenly. Had gone on vacation and came back with a swollen finger. Well that grew into a swollen hand and then two swollen hands. The rest is history as it spread all over my body to different joints and I was sent to a rheumatologist. Been on methotrexate for all this time and prednisone. Tried other drugs, but had side effects I could not live with. Tried the metho shots but got tired of those and they didn't help anymore than the pills. Now I have several bulging disks in my lumbar spine and will get two epidural shots in the next two weeks. I'm slightly nervous about the shots, but I'm looking forward to some relief as I can not stand or walk for very long. My pc has gone wacky, but that's ok.
I'm 65 now and I'm married and had two grown sons and one grandson. I would love to hear from anyone out there who wants to write. My email is etyre@tampabay.rr.com I tried support groups, but this is much better.
