Went to Disneyland | Arthritis Information

I flew to LA yesterday to pick up my 22 month old granddaugther and my son and I took her to Disneyland.  First, I discovered that it only took me about three hours to be totally exhausted - I think I'm too old or decrepit for Disneyland.  I enjoy the place but I don't have the energy.  Then this morning I had to fly her back with me with bags.  If I had been smart I would have checked them in but I thought I could handle it - NOT.  My shoulders are screaming.

Roxy, I think I better join you in weight training.  I did try it last year but I couldn't do the machines.  It made my joints feel like they were stuck (I can't explain it any other way) and I was sure I was going to embarrass myself my screaming because it hurt so bad so they tried me on very light free weights.

Off to my over dose of Advil and to find the nearest heating pad.  Does anyone know if they make a body size heating pad?  That is exactly the size I need.

Glad you made it back safely, although now suffering for it.  Disneyland wore me out even when I was younger and healthy.I love Disneyland..I think I like it better than our DisneyWorld. My body usually feels like crap after a day at the parks.

Cristene,  My rd said I need to use "light weights" with more repetitions.  I have not tried it yet because I am already neglecting my yoga and swimming.  I KNOW they are good for me.  It is getting ridiculous - I feel like my life is on hold until I get the Enbrel.

I told Pam that I would go with her and Oscar to Disneyland?  Want to come?  We could take turns, pace ourselves and people watch I went to DisneyWorld in Florida (I think its world and not land) about 6 years ago and it was the most magical place ever. I loved it loved it loved it!!! Seeing all the disney characters and going on all of the rides was just fantastic! I can't wait to have my own kids just so that I have excuse to go!You don't need an excuse to go ....just go I am.....next summer! Wahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I haven't been to DisneyWorld but I sure thought it would be better than Disneyland but I guess I don't have to worry I missed anything.

Roxy, I would love to go to Disneyland.  I love the Pirates of Caribbean; I bet Oscar would too.  Do you think anyone would think it was funny if I rented one of those motorized scooters at my age?  It actually crossed my mind yesterday; I bet I wouldn't get as tired.  Of course, I had my mtx and that always puts me to sleep.

I haven't slept well the last two nights so I better get some sleep tomorrow because it's back to work and I can't afford to fall asleep and get fired.  It's starting to become a problem and I can't get the rheumy to understand that some days I can't keep my eyes open.  I've never been a napper so I know this isn't normal.  Makes me want to go to kindergarten again when they have naps!

Cristene - rent that scooter! Go girl! (But stay off the rough rides.)Cristene,  Maybe all three of us will rent scooters.  Oscar would be so envious

This sounds like a great time!  I can't wait for Oscar to read these.  He is invited to Disneyland in October and "Pirates" is definately a favorite.  He'll have to map out a special route for the trip with the "scooter brigade"

I hope Disneyland is ready for this

I hope Andrew is a Disney fan, too. He already is a Winnie the Pooh fan...lol. He loves him some Sing-a-long with Tigger!
