Do you guys get a lot of popping in you joints~snap crackle and poppin here Yep, my knees are doin the Rice Crispy overture.  very cricketyYup.  Just about everything pops on me! ok! I have been popping so bad today! Really worried me!Noise itself doesn't usually mean more than something is rubbing. It's when the dulcet tones of  cartilage, bone and synovial fluid gas are accompanied by our old nemesis, Mr. Pain, trying to sing along that trouble is around the corner. does it mean I have a lot of swelling? I see swelling but the docs have been butts to me lately and I am doubting myself!i can pop every joint ;-)   not even trying too.   even my back and neck.  it does not hurt.   my guess is there is no longer cartilage there to protect my joints.   for years this was not the case even tho i had RA but now i can make music just standing up.The popping hurts, I usually have a little, but yesterday I would walk and pop. It was horrible and it hurts! I can also pop everything on my body. Sometimes it relieves pain but other times its painful and I don't want to pop but can't control it. I don't have popping, but I have a lot of snapping in a joint right before, and during the flare.well maybe i'll flare real big and them some doc will believe me and treat me!I pop everywhere and often. Elbows, knees, ankles, wrists, back, shoulders. I wonder if it has anything to do with RA? Anyone know if it's a symptom? All of those places I mentioned hurt, almost always. I don't have visible swelling, except in my hands in the morning and evening/night. Hmmm....it is definitely a side effect of RA.   i met a lady about 25 who was born with JRA and of course she still has it.   she asked me if i could do this and she cracked every joint by just moving her body at the time.I guess over the years she learned what movements made her joint pop. I can do that with my wrist, and one knee. The elbows and shoulders pop often at work, I'm a hairdresser and have my arms moving up and down often. I mentioned to my former RD (former for a good reason (quack IMO)) and he said it was nothing. That's why I asked if it actually was a side effect.Sounds like a condition called "crepitus". Tap into any reliable medical website and you will find an explanation as to what it is and the causes.
While I was on prednisone I was affected by the popping, etc. Asked my gp and he said it was quite likely caused by the prednisone.  Other drugs can cause it, too. Hope this helps.
im not on anything right nowI'm only on neurontin for Fibro, Vit d, calcium, and birthcontrol
