This is a link to an article about a support group in UKit's the same group that produced the newsletter I referred to in the post headed 'interesting newsletter' .    They are very active, and are getting good links with medics who are doing research.

Web address for one of the four support groups in the UK.

We are working towards a National Organisation to highlight PMR and GCA and get much needed research into cause and cure.

These two diseases are not life threatening, they just destroy your quality of like and because these two diseases mainly occur in women - they have just not been seen as important.

They are now as most women are bread winners and need to work.

www.pmr-gca.org.uk  - well worth a visit.

So, we need to change the way this disease is being perceived.   It takes away the quality of life we used to have and leaves us struggling with pain.  Guess we have to change this perception.
