I've recently been put on plaquenil and I've lost about 15 pounds - weight I can't really afford to lose. Is this normal?
I'm also on Citalopram, but only for a couple weeks. I've been on the plaquenil for almost two months.
You lost weight because of the nausea? Weight loss can be due anything - to the nausea, to RA itself, it could be a sign that you RA is not being managed. _popupControl();
I didn't have any weight loss with the Plaquenil . This is definitely something you need to talk to your RD about. no weight loss when i was on plaquinel better be safe that sorry. susanI dropped about 10 pounds the first couple of months I took plaquenil. Talked to RD about it; she said it happens sometimes, and as long as it didn't continue, not to worry about it.
I lost some during the first few weeks of nausea. After that, no weight loss problems. I'd say at 2 months and you are still losing, you need to consult with your RD.I have seen it mentioned in the literature and seems like on rxlist.com Personally, I've already lost about 5 pounds on it after being on it for 2 weeks. I'm not nauseous either and am eating about the same as always but just not keeping the weight on (also one who can't afford to lose it as it is)yeah. i didn't feel nauseous or anything. I've just dropped some weight since I've been on it. I guess I'll talk to the doc.
I hope I loose weight on it. I could stand to loose about 25 lbs.
I've lost 16 pounds but not related to taking Plaquenil.
