When my liver levels were high the rheumatologist took me off methotrexate but you said you have been off it for weeks. What medications are you still on at the moment. When my mums levels were high for a long time they did a liver biopsy. Sometimes they just wait a few weeks and do another blood test as it may have not had time to come down yet since being off mtx. When mine have been high, the Rd hasn't changed anything unless it comes back high a second time. When they are catching it--it is really barely even high. Most of the liver problems involve levels that are hundred's of times to high. Mine is about 10 pts. higher right now-dr. said we will just check it next test.Your experience is why I always ask for a copy of my blood work.  I'm afraid the doctor might miss something and I can be the double-check.  I've had elevated liver enzymes once and I was taken off MXT, Vicodin, and NSAIDS.  A month later the enzymes were normal and have remained normal.  If they're elevated for a period of time they'll want to do a liver biopsy.  What are they doing for your high BP?  It sounds like it's time for a new RD.  Lindy
