I'm new - humira and side effects? | Arthritis Information

Wish to have feedback for others with similar side effects to first Humira injection.

Am 58 years young - RA for 35 years. Was on Remicade for 5 years - questioned need vs. benefit and cost was a problem. Also on Clebrex and MTX. Called the Humira Nurse line after my first injection with little results to meet my needs. What I experienced after first injection:

- 36 hours after taking injection - have been in bed after shot until now - 1-1/2 days

- nausea - for 36 hours with some vomiting

- headache (which is listed - but since I was off coffee, and that could have increased problem)

-restless legs - a problem I have periodically, was MUCH worse--to the point where I cound not sleep at all

- extreme fatigue - but Ii have not eaten for two days

- dizziness

Thanks - and good wishes to all - in my 35 years of care - there have been major breakthroughs with RA - they started me on high dose aspirin in 1983!

I'm new here and I just posted in another place on this site with the question about my first humira injection. Strange reactions. I see you posted in April. What happened since then with your injections. Did the humira finally kick in and have you gotten relief? I really want this to work and am willing to be patient. But I would like to know if it gets better. Thanks, and I hope you're feeling better.
