I love the South. I was very ill last night. I have strepthroat and bronchitis.

The entire staff was wonderful. Just imagine all of these wonderful friendly people taking care of you. I was given a glass of ice chips. My feet were wrapped in a warm blanket. Another warm blanket to cover me. A pillow and a magazine. And everyone even said , "Now you come back and see us if you feel bad."  They say we are sorry you are sick but we are glad you are here.

The only bad part is they got me in and out in record time. They were just so nice i was ready to stay and visit a while.

Every doctor is different i guess. He told me to take my MTX along with the antibiotics. They listened to me. Treated me. Refilled my pain pills to give me time to call my doctor. Wow things go alot quicker when docs listen instead of giving you a hard time.

LOL  I love to be spioled. It is really nice once in a while.
Glad you got a little spoiling- it does a body good from time to time!  Hope you are feeling better!Glad it was such a nice trip. Not something you can usually say regarding the ER.

I almost always am told to stay on my MTX.   I even was on it through surgery. The only time I stopped it was due to cellulitis and an abscess. It is funny how different docs say different things.hey milly, i hope you are feeling better!!

I agree w/ you.  I had the best experience, in a southern hospital in nc.. (before rA)
I was having day surgery, but the dr said i was really hard to wake up and also there might be complications, so he wanted me to stay overnight.

The nurses were GREAT!!!.. I asked for 4 Blankets and 4 pillows, lol.
Plus, i was awake at midnight, they gave me danishs, and lots of coke a cola, i felt sooo pampered, I didn't want to leave..

Hint: for anyone going to the Hospital, it really helps, if you thank the nurse, each time, by their name (thankfully they wore name tags!!) lol

My friend was at the hospital to take me home, otherwise I could have stayed an extra night, which I really wanted to do!!! lol

I made sure, to go back and bring them a big box of candy.

I felt sooo pampered and waited on... Loved it!!! lol.. of course, i was pretty out of it, most of the time!
The nicest experience I had in a hospital ER was REALLY south.. Adelaide Australia, to be exact...

I had developed bronchitis/pneumonia after flyying there, and dragged myself into Royal Adelaide Hospital, actually sobbing with pain and exhaustion..  I got the warm blankets and a sister litterally stroking my forehead.. some kind of shot to help me rest, a breathing treatment...

Because I was on a vacation and had tickets that couldnt be exchanged they only kept me that day, but they gave me some major meds and I felt much much better, and was comfortable traveling.
Thats nice! Hospital visits have never been that great for me. I live in Phoenix AZ up until oct last year, hospitals there are big city, rush you in rush you out. And someone always stays with the patient to make sure they are taken care of, you feel forgotten a lot. I hope you feel better soon!
