skdjfhsdkjfhssdlfkiuhewkfskdf i cant sleep, i cant sit comfortable in class and i take forever doing stairs and stuff. i dont take notebooks i cant live without cause they are too heavy. i need meds that work i need something!!!! this is not ok sjdgkjsdfhgjdfgjdkfghskdfjgk im SOO frustrated. i called my rheumy and she put me back on mtx... but no prednisone :( I WANT prednisone!!!!! thats when you know its bad!

HI Littlemermaid, I am so sorry you are in so much pain, does your school/uni have anything in place to help you out with your books etc, and extra time to study etc, when I was doing a prep course for Uni, they put a lot of procedures in place to help me, hope this helps, and yeah phone whoever for the pred, if not, go and get some thru the hospital.  Hugs Janie.  i HAVE pred i just want my doc to tell me i can take it lol. I was taking enbrel and effexor and mtx. but mtx has never seemed to work so we tried stopping....well apperhantly it WAS working off a month and BOOM flair. so back on mtx,

i dont get extra time to study or anything like that. next year I will be having accomodations as far as housing goes.

Is your doctor aware of just how bad you are feeling? If not speak up for yourself and ask it you can temporarily take your prednisone. There is no reason to suffer if something can bring relief. I don't know what effexor is.

How about if you take a really hot shower, get in your most comfy PJ's, have a cup of tea and some pain relievers and try and get some sleep.

 

Let us know how you feel tomorrow. Hope the doctor will listen and get you on something that helps.

 

yea i called asking for prednisone and she said go back to mtx. i wish i culd just go to sleep but I have 2 more exams this week. next week ill relax some and im going to see my rheumy. A hot shower sounds nice I will do that once i leave the library!Well- I'm sure prednisone is best avoided if at all possible and especially because you are so young. However I would make another call tomorrow and say you are still feeling really bad and you have exams to get through and the pain is making it very difficult!Sorry little mermaid that you feel so awful. How about a book bag on wheels? My son has one and it works good except stairs. Hey Little M.......sorry you are feeling so bad.  Is your school a state school or private?  It seems like if it were state, their would have to be some provision in place for students that need extra help getting to and from, and getting supplies to and from class.  I'm just making a guess, but have you checked it out?i havnt checked it out. its private, i have tried to avoid disability services for as long as possible :( I did get ground floor housing though!How are you little mermaid?  Checking up on you!Yeah, I was just thinking about you too. Im not feeling better, but after tomorrow morning ill only have one more exam thankgoodness. ive been having new issues for me, my neck has been hurting...my jra has always excluded back and neck buuut not know...whats going on?? elbows have been bothering me tons to sleep. legs are awfull but im more used to that. ,so yea not feeling better. but i think i have a sinue infection with could be making me worse. i go to rheumy in less then a week......so hopefully things will be better after thatTry and keep yourself warm- that always makes me feel better. Hang in there and keep us posted. You need to find you a nice, big, strong college friend to help you out. LOL
