HI guys, my RD wanted me to have a bone scan to see if I do have another fracture in my foot after an accident 5 weeks ago.
I had the scan today and I had to lie still for 20 mins then another 20 mins and then 4 mins. Well, I was in tears, they decided to do the whole body as I was hurting all over, my lower back felt like it was stuck in a spasm but was immovable, it was so painful and at the same time, I had to hold my arms over my head which was agony, I felt like such a baby for crying, but I couldn't help it. The girl offered me a break but I just wanted it over and done with, so anyway she asked me if my back was bad and I said yes, its very painful, she said that my last bone scan showed a hot spot on the right side of my spine but now it was the whole way across it and it was quite large and definitely worse. She said she wasn't so sure about the foot fracture, there was definitely a hot spot but not much blood flow which could be the old fracture, she said she would be interested to see what the radiologist had to say.
She then said that almost every major joint had hot spots and lots of hot spots in both feet, so I am waiting for Monday to see what the head honcho says. I guess nothing can be done anyway, except for wearing a boot on my foot again!!!! Not much fun. HUgs to all and prayers for all that need them. Hugs Janie.
