HI guys, had bone scan of whole body and foot is refractured from the unbelievable stepping up onto toes to avoid stepping on my sons foot.  I am waiting to see if I need to wear the air boot again or need to see my ortho Dr.  Also showed plantar fasciitis, and heel spur and big toe intense activity, on both feet.

Other areas increased activity both shoulders, both knees, both metatarsophalangeal joints and spine especially L4/5 degenerative disc disease, which I already knew basically.

Going to podiatrist tomorrow.

What next??????  Janie.

Janie I am so sorry, you've already been through so much.  Hugs to you  .Janie, Sweetie, I'm so sorry! I know that it sometimes feels like it's just one thing after the other. Just when you might start feeling a little better from one problem, two more pop up!

Keep your chin up, sweetie.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gentle hugs, Nini
Sorry to hear this Janie......hope your foot heals quickly.  As for the other, what to say?  I wish you didn't have to be going through this. :(Thankyou Hillhoney, Nini, and Linc, your support always leaves me feeling better.  I just got back from GP, I am not allowed my MTX this week due to bronchitis, bordering on pneumonia, so I have strong antibiotics, and have to go back on Thurs to see if it has improved.  He looked at my bone scan pictures and results and said I have the bones of a woman 40 years older than me!  Gee thanks, that made my day!  NOT.  Regards Janie.  hugs hon!!!

Ra just sucks~ well it does.. I often try explaining that to people that my wrists and knees are probably the same as a 70 or 80 old person!

HI Snowowl and Whispered, you rock!  Thankyou.  Hugs Janie. *screams along with Janie*

_popupControl();Janie, you poor thing! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with all this! What can I say... your coping skills are impeccable! What a horrible time! Is there anything we can do for you>?

Aw Janie - this is the part I despise the most, the never-ending new symptom to contend with, best of luck.

Wow Janie, that's a hellava lot to cope with all at once, you poor thing.   Hope you can mend quickly

Was the total body scan you had an MRI?

I recently got a letter from my Rheumy to say that my last lot of Xrays showed I'd had a fracture in my back (long story short, when you have RA it's sometimes difficult to get GPs and other specialists to take what we know are unrelated injuries, seriously
I also have one toe that I fracture everytime I knock it or step unusally.

My thoughts are with you!
HI guys, thanks for all your support, no nedd for anything but good listeners, I really appreciate it, my RD just phoned and its 9.25 pm here, he is such a sweetie.  He told me to wear my airboot again, and if the healing takes too long again, then I will have to see my Orthopod.  Thanks again guys, from tomorrow, I will look like Darth Vader. ha ha  Janie.XX Hi Midgi, the scan was a nuclear bone scan.  I am on Actonel Plus and have been for about 3 years now, my spine and hips look good for bone density, but feet and hands are not good.  Thats what steroids will do for ya after 8 years.  Cheers again guys, Janie. You've had a rough time lately...hope things start to get better for you! That's a major owie! Hope it heals well enough on it's own. I'm sorry to hear you're having to go through yet another set of problems. Hope things heal quickly and you are feeling better soon.Thankyou very much guys.  I went to Podiatrist today and she gave me some moulded insoles to help with fallen arches/bone spur, plantar fasciitis etc.  But now I am wearing an air boot on the right foot for the fracture, so she put an insole inside the boot, I had to laugh.  It could only happen to me ha ha.  Hugs Janie.  I am sorry, Janie. Looks like it is just not our year. Maybe it is not the long term pred users year? Oh I know... something in the air that is effecting us long term pred users?

Much hugs! Sorry bout the foot!
This is just so wrong.  I'm sorry you're dealing with all this at once.  Thank goodness you have such a great attitude and are very strong.  You'll get through this too and we'll be here to cheer you on as you kick ass!  Thanks again guys.  Today my hips are very sore, I guess from Bursitis and from walking incorrectly.  Podiatrist gave me soft supports which feel good.  The boot is so cumbersome and I break into a sweat just putting it on.  Hugs Janie. Oh goodness Janie, I can't believe the year you are having. Rest as much as you can and prop that baby up! You have to be walking a bit differently with the boot on, so I am not surprised your hips are bothering you. Is it the inside or outside your hip? Gentle hugs are a comin' your way! rest, rest, rest....Ouch! Sorry you're going through a rough time JanieHi Owiemom, thanks for your support, it is the outside of my hip.  I think it's osteoarthritis and my spine is involved so it could be referred pain?

My RD is checking everything in the bloods I had done today, as my GP says she thinks we are missing something with my diagnosis.  I think the test she said my RD is looking for is Pagetts disease, very weak bones prone to fracture and he is checking my likelihood of osteoporosis in the rest of the body, I have it in feet and hands.  Thanks again, mucho  hugso, Janie.XX
