Resuming Orencia - Dosage Question | Arthritis Information

Hi... new to the forum.

My wife was using Orencia, showing improvement, and had graduated to the once per month regimen. We had a change of insurer and a comedy of errors resulted in no Orencia for four months. We're past that now and treatment should resume shortly.

Question: Is this a "new" treatment (with more frequent dosages), or does it resume at the once per month dosage?

I called the Orencia information number and they say there have been no full studies of this. They said my wife's doctor would need to look up case studies to make her own determination.

It would be helpful to hear from anyone who has been through this.

Welcome OHski. I haven't been through this, as I have just started Orencia for the first time myself, but I would think after four months she should probably start with the two weeks, two weeks, then one month pattern to get her system jumpstarted again. I'm glad she is seeing improvement with it.
