When you enter that aol address into the browser - the main page for aol pops up.  On the top center of the page is a picture that rotates.  Wait for the probiotic picture of Activa to come up, then POUNCE!

OMG - I almost choked when I saw that.  Where were these guys when I was there???  the thing that absolutely drives me nuts it that research showing the 'tunneling microbes' that was released WHEN I WAS DRIVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY!  How freaky is that?  If I could have found that guy when I was there....

Well, on one hand I'm glad they're getting the word out, but on the other hand, ideas like this one really bother me:
"Packaged and refined foods have really lost a lot of nutritional value and now there is interest in figuring out how to fix that. Adding probiotics to foods is one way to make them healthier," says Dr. Gary Huffnagle, professor of Internal Medicine and Microbiology/Immunology University of Michigan Medical School and author of The Probiotics Revolution.

Wouldn't we be better off just eating the foods in their whole state instead of totally refining them (thereby killing the beneficial bacteria) and then adding laboratory made bacteria back in. No one knows if there are other elements in the whole food that work with the probioitcs that are lost in the refining process.

I advocate just getting some plain organic yoghurt instead of Danon and other overly processed foods that they plug in this article.hi pip followed your instructions but no probiotc pic just gorden brown Here Boney, try this:

We've had many discussions about probiotics on this forum so if you do a search for "probiotics" there's a lot of information.

Not all probiotic foods are dairy, if you don't "do" dairy.

ok thanks gimpy.. i will take alook.. as i have never eaten health foods
and only tried honey and cider vinegar when i first go tra..it is intresting
to see what others are doing..
Boney
sorry gimpy .. i cant find were to do the search from

Probiotic foods have been part of every cultural diet in the world all throughout time, except in North America in the last 50 years or so, so I don't think of them as health foods. I just think of them as "food".There's a "search" function at the top of the page.ok gimpy having a look.. iam not a healthy eater at all.. not much dairy..
nor fruit . the odd bannana.. no cerials.. but i do eat 6 raw eggs and milk..
no vitamin supplements.. only calcichew whith b12..
oh sometimes i eat tinned sardines for the oil.
Boney

6 raw eggs with milk?  tinned sardines.  To each his own, but I want to yack, lol.
But it's only 5:25 in the morning and I'm just sipping coffee, lol.
