Just needed to complain | Arthritis Information

When I was younger, I was involved in a lot of sports.  Some days, I'd have two soccer games in a row, then the next day, I'd wake up sore.

So why do I feel that way this morning?  I did nothing strenuous yesterday.  Argh!  I feel like I've been hit by a train.  I've been trying to walk, etc. but I was very inactive last night, to try to rest up, and I am just achy this morning.  It's mostly my shoulders, feet, and hips/back.  But even my left arm muscle hurts where I was holding my son (even though I was careful not to hold him too much yesterday).

You'd think I'd run a marathon yesterday.  Hopefully it will work itself out by lunch.  Thank god my job involves sitting at my desk all day. I guess I should go on a walk outside tonight to work things out, but I hate this feeling!

I just remembered I went on a 20 minute walk around downtown yesterday. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Okay, back to work...
I doubt the walk had anything to do with it.

Are you feeling any better this afternoon? Morning is always the worst....or at least you'll likely always have symptoms in the morning. Even when my RA is fairly well controled I have stiffness upon waking. Sometimes it takes hours to get better.....somedays it doesn't get better; and on the good days it's gone (Or much better) in less than an hour.

I am feeling somewhat better--thank you!  I'm just frustrated.  I am usually stiff in the mornings, and sometimes, by 11 I feel great and think "my health won't stop me from doing anything!"  Then, some days, I just don't even want to get up to walk to the bathroom.  Just getting used to it.  Sigh.Yeah, I had a couple of those days last week. My stiffness lasted all day and into the next day. But I am sure mine was caused by fibro, because I do not have morning stiffness because of how I take my prednisone, but I do get night stiffness starts around 6pm.

I hope you wake up tomorrow with much less stiffness!
Katie G: I'd give a "Gentle Hug" but I'm afraid it would make you hurt even more.
So I'm giving you "Cyber Gentle Hug". Take Care
We can all relate

gentle hugs~~

this is the weirdest disease.... truly!
I'm glad you're feeling better now and I really understand your frustration.  It's one thing to feel stiff and sore when you've overdone it, but when you do everything right and you still get hit by the train, it just doesn't seem fair, does it?  I think that's one of the hardest parts about this disease, that is, you can't count of the cause-and-affect aspect of it.  RA doesn't play by the rules.  Feel free to complain any time.  We understand where you're coming from.

Most of the time, I feel worse in the morning if I didn't do anything the day before. Really stiff and sleepy. You're right this is one crazy, wacky disease!
