The upside of today's dr. appt. is that it wasn't in any way RA related. For the last four days I've felt like "yuck." The constant sneezing is how it all began and I assumed it was my allergies working me over again. After all the calendar does indicate it's spring. Then the all over body aching without any tenderness to the touch began; my head felt like a balloon with an elephant sitting on it; my ears didn't hurt but there was a dull throb; all I wanted to do was sleep; and I Couldn't Keep Warm. In the house I was wearing a t-shirt, sweatshirt and a jacket and turned the heat up to 72 degrees. Last night I was wearing all of this and was sitting on a heating pad and my hands were still like ice. My DH said that they felt as though I were dead. NOT FUNNY!
This AM I awoke with such a pounding headache and my ears were beginning to hurt. So I called in to see if I could get an appt. with my gp. Just minutes before someone called in and cancelled an appt. so it was mine - all mine. GP wasn't sure if I had a type of flu or not and did the swab thing. OMG - it didn't hurt but you sure cannot describe it as a comfortable feeling. Good News is that I don't have the flu. I do have a cold and a super nasty sinus infection. So I'm on azithromyacin for five days. GP told me it will stay in my system for 12 days.
Well, I'm going to relax/sleep in a recliner. Probably will be asleep still when DH arrives home from work. You all take now. * Gentle Hugs *
lol yes had 1 of those swabs for the first time last october feels like they are gonna touch your brain through you nose yuck!!!!!!!!! mine turned out to be mono
Hope you feel better soon and it doesn't drag on too long. I was home for a week last month and still not feeling quite right for 2-3 weeks after getting back to work. Went in too late for the test for flu, but now that I know how horrible the swab thing can be, I'm glad I went in too late.
Yeah, I'm gonna vote no on the swab too. But I do hope you feel better really soon WatchingWolf.
