NEVER FELT PAIN LIKE IT | Arthritis Information

Hi all,

Last night had to get a Dr out to the house as thought I was going to die with pain. May sound dramatic but hhonest to God never ever felt pain like this ever - would go through the birth (8 weeks ago) ten times over then this pain last night.

Started at base of back on left side when moving left leg then hr later same on right as well then hr after that mid back when breathing in then hr after that when moving arms an inch pain at top of back. I was on knees on floor with arms on chair for 4 hours - couldnt move at all.  My husband couldn't move me as hysterical in pain.  Managed eventually after 8 hours to get me onto settee and have layed there until now - through night with not moving a single millimetre,  got up now and pain improved drastically but still there,  Dr wanted to admit me to hospital but the thought killed me.  My older boys started new school - comprehensive and junior yesterday and I am so upset as couldnt make their favourite tea as promised - hubbie did it but I felt gutted - couldn't look at their books etc - feel terrible about that.  My parents were here 6am today when hubie had to go to work so Mum took over with the newborn and Dad with the boys to school.

I took TRAMACET which i felt helped with the pain.

Dr seems to think that either mega flare up involving pelvis, hips and all of back resulting not being able to move or I have some cracked bones in back ddue to thinning of bones because of Pred.

I have felt pain before but never ever like this.  I was so afraid I thought Id die with pain.

Anyone else had this?

No, but that sounds awful!

If you take a lot of medications for RA you could be prone to them yourself. It's very common.

They say that's worst pain you'll ever feel in your life. Comes on all of the sudden and you want to die!!

I hope you're feeling better Sweetie and you don't have any more epiosodes like that again.

Keep us infomed. Doesn't sound RA related to me.

Chelybel,  You sure have been through it.  This is so unfair.  I am glad your doctor gave you pain meds.  No one should have to be in that much pain.  Your kids will understand.  Let others take care of you right now
