Depression is finally here | Arthritis Information

For some reason, these days i wake up and hurt so much i can't lay in bed or anything because the pain is just so much.

My RA is far worse than it ever has been.  It hit about 2 months ago, i just woke up one morning trying to go down on pred like they told me and i flaired up.

A month later i had a great 4 days or so, but then it all came back again and just won't go away.

I called for my pred refill this morning and asked for 10mg instead of 5mg in hopes that it will help me.

It's 3 yrs now with no help.  I am very scared and my husband has always told me that he thinks something else is going on that they aren't finding that makes me worse.

All I know is that I am tired.  Very tired these days.  I hurt horribly everywhere.  Half the time i need 2 hands to pick up my drink and it hurts so much that it is almost too painful to drink.

I am in a rut, depressed and want my mommy.

Thanks for listening, it's always better to have others hear that know what you are going through.
Oh, hugs and more hugs, Bubba!  Can you see another doc?  Get another opinion?

Don't give up!

I know it's hard but maybe going to see another doctor may help you.  Don't give up there are many people who care about you...Hiking_galSo sorry you are feeling so down and hurting...
Please call the doctor and she what they suggest. Keep us posted
hey bubbagump!   i am so sorry it is so hard.   i wished i could make it all go away.   i do not know if it helps but i understand how it feels.   you will have better times!   i look at this disease as a circle.   when i am on the top i am at my best, you can tell when you are starting to slip.  you will have more and more bad days then you like hit hard bottom for who knows how long... we never know.  that is the beauty of this disease.  then with medicine change or change in weather we will begin to notice a few good days every now and then.  pretty soon we won't be thinking about this awful pain all the time and then we will be riding on the top with more good days than bad.      just snuggle up, get a hot drink, if the sun is out sit outside, write your blessings down this always helps me because i really have alot to be thankful for     wonderwomanHave you been checked for fibro? Now that I know what is fibro pain and not RA pain. To me it is the fibro pain that really takes a toll on me. Before I just thought it was all RA pain, because my then RD did not test me for fibro. But with new RD I can see kinda tell which is fibro & which is RA, still confused on some pains though.

Much hugs Bubba! Get a 2nd opinion if you still are not doing well.

I know when I was with my last RD I just did not feel like I was going to get better. With new RD I have been better and can see it does get better. Just depends on how devoted your RD is to making you better.

So many doctors are "set in their ways", or just haven't/don't take the time to keep current with new medical developments/breakthroughs; and or are just plain comfortable feeling they know it all.

Another set of eyes perhaps could give you the relief from pain that you deserve and a treatment plan, too.  * Gentle Hugs *
I'm so sorry!  Thinking big hugs for you! :)Thanks everyone.

I'm in a crying fit right now, i called the family doctor who does my pred and he said he won't do it anymore, to go and get the RA doctor to do it.  I don't even see here and trying to get a medication called in by her is almost impossible.  They mess it up every time and going days without any prednisone is not good on the body.

I want to scream and cry.
I too am just learning the difference between the fibro pain vs. RA pain, and fibro is much harder to live with, at this point for me. I just thought my un-dx RA was way out of control. When the RD told me I had fibro as well, she felt that needed immediate attention. Once I was medicated for the fibro, my pain is way down. Don't get me wrong, I still have rough days, and my joints still ache, but nothing like before. I have to wait until Plaquinel kicks in.
Consider talking to the doctor about Fibro. Read tons about it, you may find that you have many of the symptoms and didn't even realize it. (that happened with me). If you are finding the increasing of predisone doesn't help, that may be a good indication you have fibro, because pred does nothing for it.
Good luck and I hope you are feeling better soon!!
Oh yeah... that is why way back before going to new RD that I thought pred was not working for me anymore... because I was in such pain and the pred usually helped with the pain and all, but it was not cutting it. So... another way to tell is if the pred does not help it if you are on pred.

Thanks for the reminder, Debbie! I just realized that is what that was late last year.
