Do your joints itch? | Arthritis Information

I thought it was a reaction to the celebrex but now haven't taken it for over a week and the itching had quit....I thought.  Now, my finger joints are itching like crazy and red.  Not terribly swollen (redness makes them look more that way)  Is this how your RA presents or started to as it progressed?

I do not now or ever have any itching at my joints .

But as we know everybody is different on how their body
reacts with Ra.
How is your foot feeling ?

I have never had itching like this before.  In fact, only had it with the Celebrex but after taking it for less than 48 hours (only 4 doses) and its been over a week since the last dose, I just can't imagine it being that still....

Foot is the same.  Maybe better today?  But I haven't been on it at all, either.  Also took Vicodin yesterday and today for that and cramps so its hard to tell!  I'm going to keep an eye on it and mention it in the follow up appt in a couple of weeks and see what he says.
My RA presented with pain and red swelling which was incredibly itchy (it actually initially looked like I'd been bitten by a mozzie). When the reddness and itchyness went away it left me with swollen knuckles. I havent had itchy for nearly a year but continue to have red and swollen.its unusual, lasted more than 3 days...its time to call the doctorYep. Probably time to call the doc. Maybe discontinue the Celebrex if agreed. Sounds like a drug reaction. my fingers itch!

Sunam, I noticed you said you took vicoden for pain. How long how you been taking it? I ask because when I first started taking it, it made me itchy all over. My sister had to take it a few different times because she gets kidney stones and she says she gets itchy from it too. Just a thought???_popupControl(); Funny--not ha, ha funny.  I get an itchy back often.  I scrub and it doesn'thelp.  So I scratch.  I don't see a rash.  I was told it is a reaction of RA.  Mine is only my back.I'm not taking the Celebrex anymore because the itching was so severe within 24 hours of starting the meds.  It continued for about 3 days after stopping it.  Its now been over a week and still itchy although not as severe (initially like being attacked by fire ants!)
Vicodin does sometimes make me itch but its more of a general, all over itch and not joint specific.  Also not as bad at the low dose.  I used to take a higher dose just for severe cramps but this is much less and the side effects are not as significant.
