Every once in awhile my MTX makes me pretty sick. Day after, I am very very tired and somewhat nauseated. I sort of feel like I have the flu. However, this does not happen all the time so I just put up with it. I like the fact that I havent had a flare for a very long time. You might end up sick like this with the original medicine also. Good luck. I hope you are feeling better. Thinkthinn2008-05-04 12:22:15hi think thin i took mtx 13 yrs ago for 4yrs no problem.. i restarted lastyear.
same box same mtx then box changed and mtx shape they made me really ill

Sorry about your leg and foot.  It sounds painful.  I also feel icky on occasion from the MTX, but mostly I tolerate it well.  I hope by going back to the type you did well on, you'll feel better.  It's awful when the med that's supposed to make you feel better makes you feel sick.

Umm...."Dont foreget to flush it..."      (???)

Do I dare ask?

Actually, generics are allowed to differ by 20% of the brand, so you're right that the medications are different.hi jess i am no longer on mtx .. i wonderd do you take folic acid .
i allso took metoclopramide for sickness.  thanks for the concerns about my leg and foot
i see the nurse tommorow..it is not so much the pain as more ofa worry what is
going on.
wishing you well..Boney
hi gimpy i never knew this about genrics

Have you thought about purpura/vasculitis as being a cause of the problems with your feet and toes.I've never had a problem with a generic med, and neither has my husband.  He takes generic equivalents of zocor, coreg and avapro.  I take generic plaqenil and metoprolol.  Generic methylprednisolone dose-packs have never failed to work wonders for me.

Of course, your mileage may vary. hi lynn i have never heard of purpura vasculitis i will have a look..

hi jasmine. good to see the meds are working for you..all hat i know
is after 13yrs of the same med there is a difference to me..
