As consumers dig into their pockets to pay for increasing prescription drug prices, CEOs of drug and biotech companies are stuffing their pockets.

CEO pay is currently 364 times that of the average worker's pay.  Top US CEOs are paid 200 times more than  any other leaders in our society.  US CEOs are paid 3 times as much CEOs of large companies in Europe.

Miles White, CEO of Abbott Laboratories, maker of Humira, was paid .76 million in 2007, averaged .47 million over 5 years and owns .5 million in company stock.  To see compensation for CEOs Schering-Plough (remicade); Wyeth/Amgen (enbrel) and 15 other CEOs of drug and biotech companies on the Fortune 500 list see link below.

CEOs deserve reasonable and fair compensation, but is current pay excessive? Is it fair to shareholders, the company and employees, and to consumers, who are struggling with increasing health care and drug costs?
