Fevers, MTX and Flares | Arthritis Information
So I took my sixth week and 1st 15 mg dose of MTX on April 28. May 1 I go to the GP and have a fever of 100.1. Not clear why. Get a Z pack. Skipped this week's MTX. Finished my Z Pack yesterday. I felt crappy all day long. Not sure if I'm just progressively anemic or what but I was pretty sure I had a low fever.
Sure enough, come home, thermometer reads 99.1. My temp usually runs in the 97s.
So I was told not to start MTX again until no fever. This is a low fever though--but I also feel awful. I don't know if the fever is a part of a flare, an infection, or just a side effect of MTX. I go in for bloodwork tomorrow or Thursday.
No real question, just ugh, I don't want to deal with this. I had finished a big project at work on Monday, and today was to be catch up day, but instead I felt so awful that I fell behind, if anything. I will focus on being happy that I didn't have anything big going on today, and try to get to bed early...

my body temp has allways been fairly high.. when i got ra went higher.
and running fevers at night time. but allso see you are on mtx. this can
pull out a infection. just reread your post and see you know all this allready..
