Yeah... I should have a place where I WRITE DOWN my passwords, huh?? LMAO!

We got a wicked virus on our pc and had to go out and buy a tower.

Anyhow, I'm glad to be back on board and be able to post. Hope you are all having a superfantastic and extra-comfortable day!! *hugs*

Mel
Windows vista sucks! It is not compatible with things like I-Tunes and most softwares that worked for windows XP. I thought XP was a fussy system, but nope Vista puts it to shame!

I LOVED windows 98. Wish I still had windows 98, but I like XP now. Sometimes I wish it had some options for progams like windows 98 had, but that is life... change.

Oh and post-it note your passwords to your forehead LMAO! Probably because the virus is still on that hard drive?

Hubby ripped my old hard drive out of my old computer that was overheating and we could never get to stop blue screening. He just installed it on his computer a couple of days ago.

Joonie, I think I'll STAPLE it to my forehead. hehe

Hey, Boney McBoney. :)  The pc we had was refurbished (?) and we actually tried to get someone to look at it but because of it being a refurb, they wouldn't. My ex-husband in TX was going to send us a hard drive, but I needed to work this week so.... new tower. *sigh* It was the quickest (and most painful) solution. At least we were able to get two different types of virus protection that work in tandem. Weehoo!
hi joonie old drive would be bashed up in the bin and NEW drive in pc.
dont know about usa but here in the uk software  is installed on the pc
and a recovery disk given.. not the full windows or vista disk..

Mel, darling, how could any of us NOT know who you are, sweetie????

We can tell by how you write.

You would just have to say,  "Hope you are all having a superfantastic and extra-comfortable day!!" and we'd have no doubt, darling girl. In fact, you don't even need a username at all, Mel.

The virus we had was HORRIBLE!! It somehow got into the properties and reset the background with a blue screen and some spyware mumbo jumbo with an internet link. It jacked up our protection software so it wouldn't delete what it found; it wouldn't even delete the bug in safe mode! Plus, it disabled the task manager completely and made it to where you couldn't go back to a previous recovery date.

There was probably other bad things it did, too. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Cordy}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Thank you for the warm "welcome back." You know, I'd blame it on brainfog... but I know it was just me not writing it down.

Hope you are doing well (and that someone has kicked Neve's daddy's booty for ya!
