Anyone  install Windows XP  Service pack 3 yet?   I'm installing it on my EeePC as I type this.  I've heard some grumblings out in the field; hopefully it won't cause me too much trouble.  Worst case, I wipe out the PC and start over again.
No, have not installed on my laptop. I am on the desktop, so it is Vista ... boo vista! My big laptop is Vista, but all the desktops in the house are WinXP Media Center.  I've not had any problems with Vista so far (about a month now). Yeah... just try to do I-Tunes. It does not work. Well... on hubby's desktop and when it asked him if he wanted to update I-Tunes to version 7 I think. Then it kept telling him program has stopped working or some thing like that. So, now he cannot use I-Tunes. Which I am glad about... just means less crappy music I have to hear when in the car. I heard that it causes some PCs to reboot in a loop. I have XP Pro SP2 running in Virtual PC on my G4 Mac. I'm leary about having SP3 mangling the installation which took a lot of time getting to run decently. Might wait a couple of weeks before using it as it runs Windows Update on shutdown. Or I could go in and shut off the update until it's safe to install--ie when M$ fully debugs it. I hate doing M$ QA work without getting paid.
