Arthritis Information -Safe Qty of Decadron Injections

Share

I am a new member to this forum but have had rheumatoid arthritis for 14 years.  I have had it basically under control until recently but have started needing multiple injections of decadron/triamen/zylocain recently and am still having pain.  I try to exercise a lot and know this to be a key element to prevent inflammation and keep RA in check.  I need your opinion/expertise in a couple areas.

1. My dr. feels there is no maximum number of injections.  He feels treating the problem is the main concern.  I have heard from others who state you run a risk of bone density when you receive too many.  What are your thoughts or your dr.'s opinion on this?

2. I need a good RA doctor in the Marietta GA area.  I had a great one who retired a few years ago.  Since my meds and condition was in check, I did not need a good dr. until recently.  Now that I have more of a problem, I need the best in the area.

Thanks for your help,
