Wednesday and they haven't responded? :O  Oh no... I'm sorry you're having so much trouble.  Well that answers my last post. What is wrong with these people?SO sorry Roxy.

DISGUSTING

Feeling for ya!

Jackie

Roxy--

I am so disgusted along with you!  Here's my plan for you:

1) Sunday--make yourself calm and businesslike, no matter what you really want to do.

2) Monday--call the doc's office.  They will, of course, deny having received a fax.  Be ready for that.  Then tell them you'll be having it faxed again, to please look for it.  Get the B's name.

3) Monday--right after call to doc's office, after you start to breathe again, call Medco.  Ask to speak to the pharmacy.  They will let you--I've talked to them many times. Make friends.  Get pharmacist's name.  Ask him/her to handle this personally. Be straightforward.  Tell them the situation, and ask them to call doc's office directly and re-fax the request.  Give them the number.  Ask them to get the name of the person they speak to.  Ask them to call you back with that name.

4) Give it maybe two hours.  Then talk to the person whose name the pharmacy gives you.  Ask her if she has responded to Medco.

5) Call your buddy at Medco and confirm receipt, since you don't believe a word the doc's office is telling you now.

I'm so pissed for you.

Sara G38605.5932638889I love you guys!  Sara, I am not kidding.  I am going to refer to your plan and do exactly what you said.  It is a good plan.  The only good news I have is I took a bath and an ultram and I slept for two hours.  I can never sleep during the day.  Maybe I need to switch to Ultram. Thanks for holding my hand through this you guys.  I obviously am not making myself clear at rd office about how much pain I am in.  Last time I was there, it was a very good day.  If rd only knew how much I have been suffering.  As many of you have said, if he could only be in my body.  Next rd appt. I am going to make it quite clear.  I cannot do ANYTHING except try to cope.  I am doing better with that so far today.  I think because you guys always cheer me.

This is getting rediculous!!

I'm sorry Rox. I've never heard of someone having such a hard time.

If I remember correctly, the pharmacy at Medco is open for phone calls on weekends.  Not positive.  You can switch steps 2 and 3 if you feel like getting that part out of the way.  Same effect.

And don't forget to add it to the documentation you're going to hand the RD on the way out next time you see him.  Stupid office people don't deserve their jobs!

You know what?  I travel a lot.  I live in Virginia.  But I go to CA as well as NYC.  I've got to tell you, I've been amazed every time by how rude service people are in CA--even at the 7-Eleven, for crissakes!  The people in NYC have such a bad rep, and I've never understood it.  They have always been so polite to me.  What is those people's problem?!?!

I'm still pissed.

Sara,  I lived in Arkansas for ten years and Oregon for ten years.  I agree that people in CA are more "self centered".  I think it may be because you have to work hard to pay the high cost of living here and we are surrounded by decadence.  It is also a faster pace.  I compare people here to OR and AR all the time because there is a different attitude.  Less neighborly if you know what I mean.  I do know many many good people though.  I just have had a tendency to pal with guys because they have always been better about "spontaneous hiking".  Having said that, N California I believe to be one of the most beautiful places in the whole US.  Brett and I are not going to retire here.  Too expensive.  I do love my job and I fear looking for a new job at 50.  Especially since my work tends to be more physical.  I just need to get this ra under control and work a few more years until Brett retires.  He is so excited about me traveling with him.  There is no way I can do that now.  Patience.  I am doing better today than yesterday.  You know, I think the combination of Ultram and darvocett works best.  I have taken one darvocett and two ultram and I can cope.  Roxy,

It is just ridiculous that they are putting you through
all this.   Those people in the office sound like they
are totally incompetent and !!!

I am so sorry to here it. Glad you were able to take a
bath and get some rest. Sara, your plan sounds
great! Made me calmer just reading it.

Roxy...you are in my prayers

Tara

I absolutely agree with you, Roxy, about the beauty of northern California.  I was brought up in the SF bay area and in the Clearlake area of Napa Valley.  The cost of living is high, but you have to agree that pay is higher there as well.  (The 7-Eleven clerk in my example would not be working for a starting wage of .25 as they are here.)  My friend in California, who is a federal government employee, was doing the exact same job as me, but was paid K more than me because they allow "locality pay" to help with cost of living.  My point is--if you don't like people, then you need to get out of the service industry and work in some secluded place.  Service industry should = people person.  And the cost of living arguement doesn't hold water, either, when you compare it to New York City, where it's even higher.  And even more fast paced.  So why are they so nice to me and their other tourist customers?  Dunno.  Maybe they have a work ethic and they like people?  I have to get off the subject for a moment, as I hear myself ranting.

Be sure and let us know Monday how the Medco calls go.  And don't forget to breath...
